What I find even funnier is that No time is an actual thing and can be so confusing. Counting a measure that has no beat.

Met him while waiting in line at Islands of Adventure in 2015, we spoke for several minutes. He asked me what instrument I played and said guitar, he replied with “aw, that’s too bad” and laughed Totally regret not getting a picture, really cool dude.

I think if Victor suddenly had a case of the hiccups, they would be in syncopation. He reminds me of Winton Marsalis, the level of musicianship, the level of musical knowledge( theory & history) & the level of passion they both have that just seems to continue to grow. Mad Respect to these men.

If you're going to single out the drummer to say he messed up a few times... well everyone on that stage errored at some point. To me it weren't that obvious. Not looking for a person's flaws to see their mistakes. I'm listening to the chemistry of these geniuses at what they do best. Not many musicians can count time signatures at this level... sad but that's just the reality. No negatives in here for me! Very well done my brother's. 💯🙏🏾

I've seen Victor several times between Soul Circus and his other solo gigs, and I have to say that he and his band mates are not only incredible musicians, but incredible performers. These guys know how to put on a show.

Tears of joy come to my eyes when I hear victor play. He turns into an alien when that bass guitar is in his hands. Wow. Still the VERY BEST BASSISTS FOR THE NEXT TEN GENERATIONS on this Earth or may be more ,Victor.

I agree for the most part. By that, I mean that I always considered him the best, because he always was. But I highly, HIGHLY recommend you check out Charles Berthoud here on KZread. I genuinely believe he's surpassed Victor as far as technical ability. Idk about improv, but Charles is absolutely mind blowing, and is still incredibly musical. He has some goofy videos that are just for fun, but if you watch a few of them, you'll see what I mean. Especially his more serious videos. It's unbelievable what he can do.

when the four-quarter time gets boring ... conspicuous this wonderful "jumping out", the one on the seven, on the six on the five etc. It is a perfect rhythm exercise! YES!

Not to be a dink, but yeah, he actually did blow it a few times. So did the keyboard player. They both recovered well enough to not draw too much attention.
