With good post moves as well as an excellent shot blocker, all he has to do is work on his overall skillset a little and gain a lot of weight and muscle like Gianis did.

What's crazy about everything you said is - it's not even a particularly spicy take! It's very plausible that Wemby could win ALL of those awards in one season. The Wemby hype is pretty out of control, but it's for good reason, and I agree with it all. You only need to watch him play ONE game to see how legit he is. Wemby's "floor" as a prospect might not be as high as LeBron's was entering the league.... but his ceiling is seemingly limitless. I genuinely agree with whoever it was that first said "If LeBron was entering the league in the same Draft as Wemby.... LeBron would have been drafted SECOND overall. That's an absolutely ridiculous thing to say........ but it's absolutely true as well.

Only thing that will hold Wemby back in the first 2-3 months, is the rules of the NBA. I could definitely see Wemby getting 1-2 defensive and offensive 3secounds calls every other game. Lol. Another thing that will Set Wemby apart from LeBron or other 1st round picks from 2003-present is that He is coached by the GOAT. A great prospect without a good coach will just stay a prospect.

@@tomc5435 that was Giannis expected caliber level Victor is undisputed #1 pick and has been preparing for this his whole life similar to Luka's level of dominance at a young age due to the fact that he'd literally played vs professionals at age 16 lol like Victor said him playing in France during the draft in itself was troubling but now that he has full fledged focus on training he's conditioning extremely well. Giannis had to earn his resources just like Victor, Victor just earned them sooner. Players bulk up if they want to or if they don't it's very simple look at Curry he puts on 3lbs of muscle every season because he trains, Giannis, Embiid, go to the gym and eat right = succeed (Zion) look at the end of the day everything that's happened thus far has been a given it's common sense on so many levels yet people will doubt his career or say "well he hasnt played yet durrrrrr" I dont care if he plays 200 games MJ didnt win a ring till he was 28 and is the supposed "goat" with Victors dedication he will be right next to them soon.

He's going to be tuff in the NBA even if he *DOESN'T* add any muscle! His skillset, combined with his ridiculous height and length, is already a problem. It's almost impossible to stop him already. He's too tall for fast defenders, and he's too fast for tall defenders. 🥲🥲 All indications (so far) are that he'll go the Durant strategy of adding strength.... without necessarily bulking up too much. Players as tall as Wemby (or KD for that matter) with his level of fluidity are exceptionally rare. Victor himself has said many times that he wants to add functional strength, without compromising his elite flexibility, fluidity, and agility. Durant famously couldn't complete even one single rep of the draft combine bench press.... and playing basketball in the NBA has worked out just fine for KD. Because basketball is a non-contact sport, I don't think being jacked is as useful or necessary as it is in other sports (eg. American Football, Boxing, Rugby, etc). Of course - being strong is helpful, but when you're insanely skilled like Durant, Curry, Kobe, Iverson, and Wemby.... functional, "wiry" strength is all they really need to be elite NBA players.

Hopefully he goes the Giannis route & bulks up over time. SA would have to monitor his knees, Achilles, shoulders & lower back to make sure his frame keeps up w/ his growth. Too many young longer players were unfortunately shelved due to trying to do too much too soon.

They need to pair him with a solid big center. Maybe they can buy low on rudy gobert if the wolves experiment falls flat. They send those protected first and 2nd rounders for gobert.
