Well it’s obvious. It doesn’t take risks, it’s practically not offensive. With people better than him technically he always does this, he hopes to win with some points or advantage😂

Amazing balance and his guard was making it so Victor Hugo couldn't go on the offensive till the last minute where he started to mount his own passing chain, but it was too late.

Meregali's lasso and closed guard is so solid. Victor Hugo's team literally told him that he was going for the lasso sweep and couldn't stop it. Great match

I got Meregali in a choke hold and tapped him out. Then I woke up. Then I went to training and got tapped out multiple times by all the coloured belts and got into pathetic scrambles with my fellow wwhite belts. When i got home, i ate some food and went to sleep and dreamed I was Hugo getting bested by the King of Gi. Now I wake up and go to try and pull off a Meregali sweep on my coach :)

Hugo waiting till 1 minute to start pushing for anything is so silly. Had to start workin much sooner, knowing how difficult it is to pass Meregali's guard

I think, and I believe many people will agree with me, that they should make the inside grip on the pants around the waist an illegal grip. There's been so many cases (for example, berimbolo to back take) where someone grabs the inside of the pants by the waist and pulls their opponents pants down, exposing their bare ass to the audience and the people watching at home.

I was one of the announcers. I genuinely appreciate the feedback, I suppose in the moment I didn’t consider Victor as stalling, it’s my sincere goal to be as unbiased as possible in whatever event I do. I didn’t feel as sharp on the mic this time, it’s been a while since I have been a commentator / ring announcer / interviewer 😅 Thank you!

Victor should have passed Meregali's right leg over his head and taken him backwards when you had the bear trap on his left leg in the quasi x-guard position and he would have had the sweep.
