Movies like Titanic is so cool because when you get older you can relate to other characters in the movie and you can see the acting skill from the older actors, and you realize how they really make the whole movie, it's like when you realize the importance of a great villain, we all hate villains, but not realizing they make everything else in the movie better. All these older theatrical actors with their sub characters really lifted the movie so Leonardo and Kate Winslet could fool around. Sometimes I wonder if directors like James Cameron and Steven Speilberg are just lucky, but I think it's more talent and skill, because making a movie is also a lot about subconsciousness, things we people never realize until we see a movie over and over. Directors are really intelligent people.

I have to say, as someone who was born in Northern Ireland, I liked Victor's portrayal as Thomas Andrews, he looked so like the man. Thomas Andrews wasn't an actor, he was a ship builder and he was Irish. Also you really don't need to cast a person from a certain region just because the character that you're playing has a certain nationality. As far as I'm concerned there are plenty of actors out there including Victor Garber who know how to pull off another person's accent. It doesn't matter what the actual nationality of the actor is, All that matters is if they can pull off a certain accent. Where this rule that you speak of came from is beyond me, But I must say good sir, it isn't a very good one. The reason why actors are called *ACTORS* is because they don't have to be born in a certain region to make themselves sound like a person of that nationality.
