I witnessed this live. And I'm still trying to process it. He's truly the 'hero' of the masses. He clicked pictures with every single person. He genuinely replied to every person's comment. I went there as fan of his acting and came back home being a fan of THE VICKY KAUSHAL. Wow you are lucky to have seen this live, he truly gave some very inspiring advice which I will remember for a long time. You said it best, even I clicked on this video because I am a fan of his craft. But I am leaving with a huge smile on my face with a newfound respect for this human who seems so genuine, and even a bigger fan of him as a person.

I think the sense of “awe” comes from the genuineness of the person. This is true in the case of people we mingle with as well as public figures. He comes across as a grounded, self aware person, and those are admirable qualities.

I can't say about appearance. But Katrina Kaif doesn't even know how to act. This guy is way better actor than her. For me, he is too good for her. Still happy for both but I think some trolls on internet need to stop judging people by their appearance. Let the couple stay happy. This toxicity is not needed. Clearly there are women who can see things beyond physical appearance. He is a nice guy and a really good actor. These qualities matter.
Katrina is lucky to have a husband like vicky, he is a phenomenal actor and a good human ❤ he deserves all the love and success ❤
I think after SRK if there is any other male actor that has crossed the threshold of being loved both as an actor and as a human being, is this guy -- though of course his journey is long from here but he gives the glimpse of that rare actor that comes about in a few decades. This interview is a study in being a good human, not just an interview of an actor.

@@user-do9gt9cr2nBruh! Who said he is compared to SRK. SRK is much much senior. Of course they aren't comparable! SRK is on different league. What he said is that Vicky is more leaning towards the path on what SRK is now. SRK is calm, humble and a superstar. But he wasn’t always. At first, even he was just guy from outside. SRK stated humble that time, and with every single film, he got bigger and bigger and now, he is probably the biggest star. But he is still that calm and humble person, you hear so less controversy or rumors around him. And vickey, who is early in his career, gave some fantastic acting, gave blockbuster like URI. Sure he is much more popular than you and me. But he kept that calmness and humble nature, from masaan till now. No such controversies that some stars or so called stars create regularly to get fame. Vickey just love acting, and he is living his life! He is compared with SRK in that way. People love him like people love SRK, for humbleness, genuineness and calmness. Of course millions more love SRK than Vickey. But the comparison isn’t based on that!

Oh myngod he will be a superstar and what will he do films which would earn 100 CR,200 cr and then in 10 years time tc and trp would be discussing why there films r problematic and jammy's kuch bhi session😂 bro/sis sabko kyun super star banana hai unko bus actor rehne do naa ..kitna abhi ball roll kar paa rahe hain utna bhi nahi ho payega if they become a super star

Vicky is great! A fantastic actor. But pleaseee....the last superstar of bollywood is SRK. He is truly last of the stars...
Vicky's boy next door personality is what made him a star. A star is someone who shines in people's hearts, no matter what. So his stardom is different. Like the different stardom acheived by Ayushmann and Raj. Good to see them being appreciated. I think the film companion interviews have also contributed a lot in changing people's perspective towards cinema... in a very positive way. An artist's craft is all that should matter to an audience. And film companion keeps it there to a great extent. Anupama, your endearing nature as an interviewer truly makes these interviews so wonderful. You make an effort (effortlessly) to connect with these actors on an individual level. And the way you are evolving (Eg:-speaking more in hindi with artists who are comfortable in hindi) is commendable. It is rare to see in seniors, in any industry. Love you ❤

He’s what he’s today only because of his talent & hardwork. He’s gifted with such amazing acting talent nobody can debate about that. I have read comments saying he got limelight because of katrina which I don’t agree. Let’s just love them as a couple who supports each other but you can’t discredit this guy saying such illogical things. Look at film choices he’s made so far each of them proving his versatility and we get to see a new character which is so different from the others with every film he does and he nails it. That’s talent . I’m so happy to see him where is today & how he established himself as a top actor in this country.he’s so handsome so good looking so hot so adorable very charming no wonder why girls go crazy. Katrina is truly a lucky woman to even come across a man of his stature. It's so rare in today's world but as a single woman, Vicky really does symbolize the kind of man I can only dream of coming across - pure class in the most down-to-earth way.

What I really like about vicky is that he is okay to be with a woman who more successful then him , and never get annoyed to talk about her achievements. That is the man .

More than anything, I'm always surprised at how brave actors' families are and what big roles they play in making that kid a star. For us (the audience) it's about a debut film or a big commercial film but for the families it's the first victory of many more to come. Hat's off to both his parents for raising such a wonderful actor and a solid man.

The ability to be ease with material , one of the reason is the grip on language as well. Kat doesnt know hindi so well, she cannot make up lines on the spot. But the success Kat achieved from where she started is amazing.
I really appreciate the fact Film Companion goes the extra mile by showing photos of the people Vicky mentions i.e directors and producers he's going to be collaborating with or has worked with in the past. Really solidifies the fact that film and television aren't just about the actors but is in fact an ensemble of all different types of roles and people. Kudos to you FC!

First of all, I have to say Anupama you have done a lovely job interviewing him. I don't think any other interviewer does a better job of bringing out the "human aspects" in the actors we see on screen. Because I feel like actors in general are so guarded and portraying something that people want to see and not what they really are. But with Anupama everyone is so comfortable, and they share more than just about craft, or even if it is about their craft much more frankly. I am so thankful for her for making this channel and creating such entertaining and informative content for us all to watch, for free. I mean the advice that Vicky has just shared with us and most importantly to the aspiring actors watching are worth a million.

It's fascinating when he mentioned manifesting. It reminds me of one of Amy Adams' interviews when she was asked the same thing, as a young struggling actress and her words have shook me to the core. She said, "You have to have an unshakable belief in yourself that things will happen and that you are talented enough to achieved whatever you wanted." These lines have stayed with me since then and tbh have helped me through my own career, opened up some amazing opportunities that I never have thought would happen to me :) Thought to pay it forward in this comment.
