A place where roadside vendors don't waste time in washing the plates and glasses properly and nobody knows what happens behind the walls of the restaurants. Inhuman alike people. Amchi Mumbai, my ass.

When I first came to Bombay, I was naive. I always thought why railways paint tracks red but later I came to know it's not the railways but the great work of Public[bhaiyas mostly]. It's the spit marks of pan, ghuttkas.

No ways. Even men wont venture out after 10 pm in Delhi. But in Mumbai a girl can still walk alone on Marine drive, still eat street food at 2 am and go home taking the last local train alone without any fear. food stalls at Juhu beach operate till almost 4 am and you will see families with kids and solo women enjoying the breeze, sea and sand without being harassed. In Bangalore people will call you mad even if you are awake in your own home after 10 pm !! There is absolutely no city like Mumbai. It has everything. on one hand slums and chawls on the other flats worth crores. The business that happens in these slums and chawls - sweat shops of leather. imitation jewelry and textile industry is worth crores of rupees. it has the sea and also mountains. Mumbai is one such tree the roots of which connects the entire country. 1000's of people from almost every state in India call Mumbai their home. Nobody cares if you are single, married divorced, gay or transgender. Everybody is human first. Everybody is treated with their deserved respect and dignity. This city is blessed in so many ways under the watchful eyes of Godess Mumbadevi and Lord Shiva in the form of Babulnath. this city is blessed with Mahalaxmi Temple and Haji Ali Dargah sharing the same sea front. Dreams are nurtured in this city. Fortunes are made in this city. This city has changed destinies of millions. If you have a dream and are ready to work hard this city will give you rewards with interest. No offence against any other city but with Mumbai it will always be my first love, my home. Ive lived in US for few years, Canada for few years but will die or kill to come back in the arms of Mumbai.

aur Vada pav ???? bhagte daudte insaan ka ekmev khurakh - vada pav. Mumbai ko bhagne ki taakat Vada pav se hi to milti hai. Vada pav kaise bhool gaye aap ?? mumbai ka sabse sasta food Vada pav aur cutting chai. This is the only filling food that costs less than Rs 20 !! Vada pav has no discrimination between the poor mill worker or the filthy rich - everybody loves their vadapav. mill worker uske gali ka tala hua khata hai aur mercedes rokvakar seth Kirti college (Dadar) ke paas ki Rs. 25 ka Vada pav khata hai. lekin Vada pav Sab khate hai. even Jains have an exception to eating potatoes if its in the fom of a vada pav !!!

Public throw rubbish everywhere, spits evetywhere and if u belong to NE, then this place is a hell. People stare at u alot with a lots of hatred expressions. People don't have a single idea about NE people here.
