I recommend watching Harry's Garage interview with him, about the successor to the F1 - GMA T.50. As it turns out, he wanted to change a few more things than that bracket. :D

Murray has stated numerous times he felt the roof scoop on the F1 looks too wide, which was his biggest bugbear...

luckely if ur rich enough to buy one, u can add those things.. like the bracket delete, brake swap for carbon ones etc.

I love how a man with one of the most impressive resumes in the automotive world is into 50's American cars and drives a Lotus Elan on the original factory wheels and skinny tires!

​@@srinitaaigaura the Chiron is a very, very bad example as it is a bloated, overweight one trick pony. The only thing the Veyron and Chiron do well is huge, straight line speed and acceleration. For all else they're well behind the pack, worse steering feel, handling/cornering etc.

Why is Gordon Murray still known as the Mclaren designer instead of a revolutionary electric car engineer? 4 hrs recharge n 130 miles, that's way ahead of time...if this was promoted more honestly by the automotive industry the electric car revolution would have started a decade ago.... Really good city car..

Gordon was the engineer the designer was Peter Stevens.

I've been wondering, what is under the eyelids on the F1's headlights, what is it for? I prefer their look to the T.50's bug eyes. Are they just covering some extra plastic of the headlights, or are they an access panel to something?

The headlights of both cars have the exact same shape. It's just the F1 has those 2 eyelids for panels at the top that give it's headlights a more subdued look and a more interesting 4 eyes look from the front. Yes the F1 IMHO is the better looking car. Peter Stevens just styled it almost ageless.

The T27 has real world possibilities, especially if you could style it in a somewhat more appealing fashion - until, that is, you contemplate being run over by an 18-wheeler!!!

Best insulation know to man is not really gold... quite the opposite gold is, just like all metals, very good at conducting heat which makes it useless as an insulating material. It's there to reflect heat.

Yes it's for reflecting heat away from those carbon fiber panels, since they don't do well against so much heat. The T50 also has gold in the bay, and I hope he puts in under the gull wing covers!
