I love the painted ceiling and all the stained glass at the church. Vichy looks like a lovely town. We enjoyed seeing all the fountains and architecture - and enjoyed reading about its history in the description as well. Thanks for sharing Vichy with us!

Thanks for watching. It was another really enjoyable day. So many on this trip. Vichy had so many negative associations after WW2 but it is a lovely place and one to which we hope to return. It was hardly the towns fault that its location, not too far from Paris, and the fact that after Paris it had the most hotel rooms (suitable for the influx of collaborating politicians) led to it becoming the capital of the French State. It is great seeing old spas like this being reborn. Hope you are having another fascinating trip this weekend. Best wishes to you both. Ivor & Robert

It is a relaxed place. We even sat a while in the park overlooking the water for a while. It all seemed so relaxed. It could be just age catching up though.

We did not bathe ourselves but I am sure it would have been very lovely. We like to explore the place more than try out the thermal springs.

Fascinating to see and read about the history of Vichy with it's impressive opera house and spas. That photo of the swan at 3:46 is a belter, perfect image. Reminds me of the colours you get out of Pentax cameras
