Vicenza is a city in the Veneto region, in north-eastern Italy. It is known for the elegant buildings designed by Andrea Palladio, a 16th century architect. These include the Palladian Basilica and the Palazzo Chiericati, now home to an art gallery. Nearby, also by Palladio, the indoor Teatro Olimpico is built in the style of a classic open-air theater. On the outskirts of the city, the Villa La Rotonda, on the hill, has 4 identical facades.
