I wish Vicente Amigo was more well known outside of the flamenco community. He's a sensational player and composer.

@@TheKillogicEffect I recommend you to listen to the Plaza del Cabido from the new Vicente's album. It's a masterpiece
First heard Vicente about 25 years ago and was blown away. Personally I think he is the best. He has pushed the boundaries of flamenco more than anyone.

If you see many documentary's and interviews, you'll see that flamenco was reknown worldvide exactly in USA, don't forget, Paco de Lucia went there as a child, before him Sabicas was touring in USA, so, don't be amazed by that, and I'm not american, I'm from Europe !

Now thats some memory making right there! I would love to see some of these Flamenco musician perform at Red Rock in Colorado, it would be such an apt place for this kind of music!
I started with metal but decided flamenco held more passion. 30 years later I'm still trying to play flamenco. (I play jazz guitar for a living) flamenco is a lifetime of practice.

If you get paid to do what you love you never have to work another day in your life! I wish I would have known about Flamenco a lot sooner I think it would have had a big inspiration on my style of playing! Just the little bit I have learned so far has had an impact on my writing!

now is simpler to learn, there is atrafana, luciano ghosn, tu guitarra flamenca, lots of channels on youtube. Just like bebop, really hard to get into if you are not shown a bit. I am trying to learn a bit of both now, love the aspect of improvisation of jazz and swing too, but these guys in flamenco have touch like you would not believe it
He's the best guitarist in the world❤❤
Thank you so much !Rio de la Seda is a composition in buleria’s rhythm.Vicente is a great composer…his armony touches always my heart 🥰😘

Try "Poeta", it's an album by Vicente. And it's a symphony of 40 minutes (flamenco symphony). And if you care about ice skating, try Stephane Lambiel skating to that music, world champion in 2006 btw

In Spain there is not only flamenco, in the north of Spain, especially in Galicia and Asturias, there is a very great influence from the Celtic world and there are very good Celtic music groups.

Este tío es guitarrista,no es que no lo vea o importe. Por cierto, que recuerdo un par de temas flamenco-celtic fusión de Carlos Nuñez, como poco curiosos.

Was actually just looking at some Dire Straits on vinyl havent been keeping up as much as I should! I recently noticed he has a YT channel with a bunch of cool stuff on it... Always like how he creates soundscapes with his music.. Got to see him live on his last tour with Dire Straits years ago, that "Heavy Leaded Fuel" song was pretty big at the time
Man, you are now an official American Flamenco expert. Congratulations. You're doing a great job!

@@TheKillogicEffect I think the whole point of your channel is experiencing music other that metal, which I love but do not listen to very much. Since you're so much into flamenco, I would like to suggest some Latin American music. Natalia Lafourcade, is Mexico and Latin America's best singer songwriter. She has performed all over the world and has a beautiful voice. She plays the guitar but is by no means a virtuoso. This song features two senior gutarrists who are really good. Give it a listen. Best regards. kzread.info/dash/bejne/c3aAtpihlMqrlc4.html Also, here is her NPR Tiny Desk Concert. Enjoy. kzread.info/dash/bejne/fIN4w7ujdNzQqbQ.html
