It seems like core fans of any artist are always insecure about their place in the fan base, like being first in line and chastising everyone that got in line after them. Why cant we just come together and appreciate the music? Why tear each other down? Idk. But i cant get too mad, ive caught myself feeling the same way before.

Primophobic Totally get it, and agree with you. But I think I know why. This song is dope as shit. And it's because he had great producers behind him, and experience. I remember songs like Darlin', from kids these days, when he had neither, and I loved it. Nobody told me to find him - I found him, and I stuck my neck out, and showed him to friends. Vic's made it. I'm happy. He deserves it. But those of us who were there from the start - We're part of why he made it. We were special. And now we're less special - We're just more fans. We're scared, because we feel less important. And that's bullshit. I was a fan of Vic before. I'm a fan of Vic now. I showed him to friends. I don't get to be mad at my friends because they liked it haha. Let's all shut up and enjoy the music :P. I didn't write it. They did.
