Even Frank Sinatra said Vic Damone had the best "pipes"..... I was crazy about him....handsome, great voice and could he sing this song. Best years were when he was a top entertainer.......miss him..... Just listen to this....clear, sweet, awesome and spot-on!!!!! ahhhhhhhh!

Such a sweet song and voice singing it! Reminds me of Jack Jones' voice. But still, Sinatra had that "edge" to his voice that grabs my gut. Unmistakable!

My Mom mentioned this song in several letters she wrote to my Dad in 1954. I'm so glad to finally get to hear it. Apparently they had it played at their wedding. Beautiful lyrics!!

Yes he has been my favorite since he first recorded. A beautiful voice. Did you know he was not happy with his recording of "On the Street Where You LIve?" It turned out to be one of his biggest hits so he was wrong.

This song fits his style like a glove.

One of the best songs ever written, don't much about who wrote it. Who sung it apart from Vic Damone and A Cliff Richards.I think its Astounding .Thank you Sotiris Cafaridis for the Video!Gorgeous.

The song "Again" was also played several times in the movie "Pickup on South Street" starring Richard Widmark and Jean Peters. It is a lovely haunting song .

Doris Day also recorded Again (also on youtube) in a very sultry, lilting voice. But Vic Damone's rendition is by far the better choice. At least I think so.

Dear, Sotiris: I deeply appreciate your uploading this number. I happened to come across this beautiful song when I listened to KKJL (a radio station on the Internet) several years ago. Since then, I have looked for this song but in vain like Elsa Gauci, who commented below. Today, I fortunately reached this video that you uploaded, which is my great joy. By the way, I tried to find the album "The Very Best of Vic Damone: The Nearness of You [Disc 3]" in Amazon, or even in Google, but I could not find it. Meanwhile I found that the photo of the jacket actually corresponds to an album: The Very Best of Vic Damone, but this album is only one CD and does not include "Again." So could you let us know in what CD you find this fascinating song?

I am very sorry for the late reply, but I get a dozen of video comments everyday and and I can hardly keep up with them...This release of the album consisting of 3 cds came out on 1994(if Im not mistaken) by the magazine "Reader's Digest", comprising old recordings of Vic, as well as new recordings, for instance the song "again" was recorded at that time, and his voice still sounded crystal clear! I can send to you the 3CD Album in mp3 format , via email probably if you still haven't been able to find. Have a great day. Sotiris

Try iTunes. Go to Store, search for "Vic Damone" When some of his albums come up, look for the small words (See all), all of Vic's albums appear. Or do a search for a particular song. All of the artists' versions appear.

Nat King Cole, Ricky Nelson recorded it. I prefer those versions, but Vic is a great singer. The modern "discoid" beat/style of 1996, stolen from the disco movement of the mid to late 1970's in this song, is a thin veil to make this song sound "Modern" as many remakes often are done this way. As if it needed an updated beat, makes me yawn as a musician. Great guitar player here.
