Once saw him drink 15 pints before a game then collapse in the centre circle before half time. They did a liver transplant on him during the interval and he went on to score twice in the second half. You just couldnt make it up.

I think how he makes people laugh is incredible talent. His sense of humour is very unique. One funny funny bloke. You just mustn’t understand him.

Now I've watched this at least 1000 times and have only just realised when Tubby explains where the cross came in from he says from the left and points right and vice versa. Now this is either Bob aware of stage directions, ie the audience's left and right, or a genius detail I missed till now confirming Tubby''s indeed shot to shit spatial awareness

I have watched comedies from the 1960s onwards, and this is the funniest sketch I have ever witnessed.

The way Vic is laughing I think Bob was improvising there. Brilliant.

You can read his autobiography and in it, he always says that he's in awe of Vic and has been the whole of the time he's known him. He also talks about the creative and writing process they've always used. No script. Interesting read.

They are equal, which is rare in a double act. Bob is more motivated to keep making new stuff these days, it just pours out of him while Vic is happy to not be funny and paint.

I've loved Vic and Bob for years..this is hilarious..like the way Vic makes no attempt at hiding his laughter😂

Everyone I watch this I'm in tears walking down the street I think about it and I can't stop laughing so funny 😂😂😀😎

I laughed so hard I woke the wife. Vic laughing throughout made this even funnier. Brilliant!

I just discovered those recently. Little Ritchie hair...Whoo, tutti fruity.

Neither of ‘em know whether he’s called Baxter or Brewster. I know, the gentlefolk at The Ryecroft never knew their own names either.

Of course the whole thing is hilarious but the Mick Butterworth detail is one of the best parts of this sketch, it's just one of those things where if you get it, you get it 😆 😆

Wow. I'm really fond of all of Vic & Bobs work, Big Night Out, Shooting Stars, Bang Bang, Smell Of, etc and had no idea until today they did another series of Big Night out. I guess mostly as I don't watch tv any more. I need to see the whole series now. xD

hehe was an American who watched British sitcoms on youtube (did full eps so possibly been taken down for copyright issues). He did The Office greeaaaAT, Phoenix Nights wowzaaAAHH, PeepShow thats so cleveraAAH then got to Catterick... hmmmmm (you could see the pain in his vacant puzzled face, was as funny as any of the gags in shows)
