I'm so happy to see someone doing amazing ocarina tutorials like this. You are much appreciated, man. You can tell you're experienced in several instruments. I really hope I can get to playing like you! I'll have to get an ocarina that can actually produce in tune notes though lol

Muy bien explicado, perfecto, yo aun trabajo con el vibrato, es algo complicado al inició pero después es casi que sabes por instinto en que momento de la melodía aplicarlo

Según entendí de lo que explicas el vibrato es hecho por la modulación (con ligeras variaciones de amplitud) de la potencia de sonido. Si modulo la frecuencia (con ligeras variaciones de frecuencia) moviendo ligeramente un dedo, seria vibrato? de cualquier forma entrenaré mi diafragma XD.

El vibrato es producido por vibraciones en la respiracion no en los dedos. Aunque hay algunos trucos para hacer que tus dedos saquen sonidos unicos similares al vibrato. Muchos saludos! OcarinaOwl

Vibrato is an oscillation of sound. It takes time to get it, but should be achieved naturally. One or two exercises you can try to speed up the process is to play long tones (doesn't matter which note) and bend the pitch up and down yourself. Do this to the beat of a metronome then continue to speed it up until it becomes second nature.

Forcing vibrato from my understanding isn't true vibrato. Many say it happens naturally without having to force it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Agreed. In this video I suggest using the forced oscillation exercise to practice hearing what it sounds like. At the end I talk about how it should not be forced, and how it should happen naturally through correct (diaphragmatic) breathing and posture. Singing is also a great way to work on vibrato. Sorry if that wasn’t clear 👍
