    Before you guys buy this budget compressor, I have another one I’ll be reviewing soon. It's the BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK compressor and it's a beast. It wipes the floor with all portable air compressors out there (including ARB/Smitty). It’s a bit bigger than this one but just as affordable and much faster! Thanks for these videos, really helpful for newbies like me. I bought this same compressor, read great reviews on it, and it is a really great affordable option. However, big warning - be very careful pulling it out of the bag. The handle is super sensitive, and mine broke. I didn't realize it until after airing down and hitting the trails, and when I pulled it out and tried to air my tires back up, I got nothing. I finally found the small crack in the handle and realized that was the problem (the air tube runs through the handle - major product defect). Almost got stranded, but a buddy was still around and let me borrow his. I ended up sending it back and replaced with a GSPSCN (similar pricing) and love it so far.

    The wires are short because there are probably 30 Amps It will be interesting to see what kind is that fuse holder, because if it is from the cheap ones , with that amperage it will slowly go bad and it will eventually melt the fuse.

  • @PhoRunner

    @PhoRunner

    2 жыл бұрын

    It’s a 20amp fuse for the viair. The smitty wire is super short , forgot to check the fuse rating on that. They should beef up the wire a bit lol. But yes these seem to be known for blowing fuses when ran to long. I got another unit that I think may be better that I’ll be testing out next week

    I use the rioby air compresor gun. I use it for 45 seconds then I sit it off for 2 min. It's good for to air up 1 tire. It's not good to air up all tires. But it works for me.

    Love all your videos! so glad I ran into your channel. I have a question I'm hoping you can help me out with. So I bough some 17" wheels made for newer Toyotas, but they fit my 4runner great. The issue that I'm running into is the expected rubbing once I get some all terrain wheels on them. So my question is, If I lift my 4runner about 3" can I avoid all the rubbing and avoid having to trim my bumper and all that? I really don't want to cut my 4 runner. Thanks!

  • @PhoRunner

    @PhoRunner

    2 жыл бұрын

    Which Toyota 17? A lift will definitely help with clearance for daily driving but articulation will bring it right back to rubbing in same spot but likely won’t happen unless you offroad

  • @genxiong2695

    FYI. The built-in gauges for these air compressors are not accurate at all. I have the Smitty and it's off by 2-5 psi. 38psi will get me close to 33psi. It's been discuss quite a bit on other channels as well.

    Nice video. I have the 88p as well for about 4 years. That screw on chuck irritated me a well. Last year i found an adapter to screw on that converts it to a clip on chuck. Nice comparison with the SB2781. The 88p is rated at 1.47 CFM and the SB 2781 is rated at 5.65 cfm. Not sure at what psi the cfm matches.. Which is almost 4 times the cfm output but the 88p time was only double the sb2781. That was interesting to see.. Because i had been contemplating getting the 2781 at some point if i ever moved to 33s.. but it looks like the 88p is more than capable... Might get it if it's on sale as a backup.

    @@PhoRunner .. Yeah i have seen the Napa and the price is nice but the issue i have is their quality control. Too many people report issues of it arriving broken, or failing shortly thereafter. I am overseas, so too much of a risk to buy and if it arrives broken, i am out of luck.. Plus there is no warranty to fall back on even if i was able to get it back to the US.
