You know, I'd kinda love to see something like this broadcast on National TV as some sort of arts program.

The MeTV print was supposed to have the Viacom logo on it, but they use the 2003 paramount logo instead.

That's because they use restored prints. No network nowadays would air these old prints.

Are you able to do 4K? I believe film can be transferred to 4K but not videotape. Note I'm not a film enthusiast, more into logos and lost media so

2K is more than sufficient for 16mm. 4K can be done, but you’re not really adding that much more detail, if any at all.

Around 0:01, I can see very small pieces of the BCP logo. So, I’m guessing Viacom or the SMPTE labs retained a bit of it on accident.

interesting transition from stereo to mono of the film

That first audio track is not stereo; that’s a common misconception with 16mm audio tracks. That’s called a dual variable area track. It’s looks like stereo, but it’s mono. You’ll rarely see stereo on 16mm film prints.

@@TheVintageTVArchive Aha. I just found out about Dual Mono. However, the transition from dual mono to regular mono is very interesting. I rewinded the clip in slow motion and saw no splicing tape during the transition. Edit: I reviewed the clip, and it has something sticks the two audio tracks (only on the track side, not on the whole film)

That isn't dual-mono either; it's all mono.
