This comment contains SPOILERS for this film. The relationship between Vishal (Tovino) and Pallavi should have become romantic which eventually leads to their wonderful marriage implying their happy married life with all of the blessings from Pallavi's father Raveendran (Siddique). That's how the climax should have been for this film. Govind (Asif Ali) poured acid on Pallavi (Parvathi) so that she will never have a wonderful future which includes her wonderful future career and happy married life with someone else. Govind only poured acid after Pallavi discarded the ring in front of Govind. So Govind made the decision that if Govind can't have her as his wife, then nobody else should have her. So, he poured acid on her. So in order to achieve complete victory over Govind, Pallavi should have both successful career and a happy married life with Vishal with all of the blessings from Raveendran (Siddique). It must be noted that Pallavi’s success at the end stemmed from both Pallavi’s determination and Vishal’s complete support for her (stemming from his true love towards Pallavi).
