Thanks for watching er'body! If you want to watch this entire show from the beginning you can do that here ►
i wish this video was 3 hours long I love the mummy so much!!!!
Nick's been hiding his super talented and charismatic dad from us this whole time?! Alex was fantastic. Such a great episode. Up there with the Star Wars as one of my favorites. The blend of practical / CGI is always super fascinating to me.
This episode was too short - we need at least 10 more hours of him talking about all the stuff!! Those mummy drawings at the start were A-MA-ZING!!!!!!
I was thinking: "This dude has real Adam Savage energy, and I love it.", and then he revealed that he worked with Adam at ILM and it all made sense. This is easily one of your best episodes yet. I hope we get to see more of Alex in the future.
This was easily one of your best episodes ever. Alex is such a massively talented artist and seems like a really great guy. Super jealous of Nick. Must have been amazing to grow up with him as your dad. And then get to go into a similar field as him.
The amount of detail that went into the drawing of Stage 1 Imhotep is crazy
Casually drops he knows Adam Savage, Wren freaks out. Now we need a "Wren meets Adam Savage," video. The two can geek out about One-Wheels. Then Niko, can ask him about vfx and movie knowledge.
I LOVE that he brought in the physical copies of his work; it makes it feel so much more real. Way to go!
Can we take a minute to appreciate how well Brendan Fraser sold that action scene? Can’t believe he was fighting no one
Nick's dad is the chillest dude. I can definitely see where Nick gets his passion and personality from. Definitely need to see him back on the show on the regular!
What a guy
This was fun to see! I worked on matte paintings for "The Mummy" and "The Mummy Returns" at ILM, including that monster opening shot from the first film. Good to see Alex again, haven't seen him in years!
My 7 year old self was completely freaked out by this movie. So that’s a kind of endorsement on the Visual Effects.
I could have listened to him talk for well over an hour. What a guy.
Now we know where Nick got his charming personality
90’s movie with interesting visuals: Tremors 1 & 2
As an Art Director (art department) working for Lucasfilm & Disney its fantastic watching your videos! IThere is quite a few of us in my office who which your videos and love what you put out there! I know you do so much on the vfx side it would be great to see a video showing how the art department work with VFX creating these real and digital worlds!
"If you guys would like to see more of Alex's art..."
All these years Nick be like: should I tell them or not ?
