Vex IQ Slapshot Robot Progress Update!

First and foremost, MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!! This year has been amazing for the channel, going from 0 to over 200 subs so fast is amazing! One of my videos has almost 20k views and counting. So, thank you for that. This video is waaaaaay longer than my other videos because it is an overview of all the changes I made to the robot during the break so far. I know this video won't perform as well as my other, shorter videos simply because of how long it is, but the people who watch this will hopefully be inspired by the unique way we approached the problems mentioned in the video. If you read all of this, a sub would be amazing. This will probably be my last video this year, so bye 👋

This is a really nice robot. It’s very unique compared to the average seAsaw design. The new storage mech is genius. Good luck for the rest of the challenge!

very nice, but my only concern with the design for the flywheel is how the rubberbands get worn out very quickly and that can affect were and how your pucks get shot. just make sure to change them out every once and a while

What do you use the guar rails for?

The guard rails prevent disks from falling out of the sides of the seesaw, and the reason they retract is so we can get the yellow dispenser.

@@jjwhite9307 We made them able to slide by themselves, so when we tip the seesaw forward to shoot, they retract, and when we fling the seesaw back, they extend. Basically, gravity is doing the work for us.

Just checked, it doesn't seem to be bent. Might just be some weird camera angle or lighting issues.
