Vevor Dividing head BS-0

I needed a dividing head to be able to cut a couple of woodruff key slots and 4 flats on a steel bar spaced at 90degree intervals. I've bought stuff from Vevor before so I thought I'd try one of their dividing heads. It was around £200 in Oct 2023. It arrived in fairly good condition but today isn't the day for a long look at it, that will follow in a forth coming video. Today we are doing a spot of machining!

Fascinating, though, as you pointed out, handle on the wrong side. Your height gauge works just fine, though I thought of a tiny laser measure sitting on the cross-slide and shining up to the bottom of the milling bit. Probably no such thing, a project for another day perhaps.

Always looking for projects Ralph! I’m sure I’ll come up with another way of doing it. I need to get DRO fitted to the mill head, that might help! Thanks for the feedback 👍🏽
