You dont need the diesel additive. In Canada we have anti gel year round. I live out in whitby ontario and have a bunch of diesels and never had a problem with gelling. Some northern states only get antigel in the winter months, and the southern states dont get it at all. If you specifically want more cetane then you can get shell vpower diesel for about 10 cents a litre more than regular. I learned this by accident when i realized i hadn't put diesel in my bobcat since june but in february the diesel was fine. I did some research and discovered the antigel, which makes sense because otherwise a cold snap could take down the entire country's economy. I wasted hundreds of dollars on diesel treatment for nothing 😂. Just trying to spread the word to help people save some cash cause life is expensive enough up here.

You know what I didn't even consider that lol. Definitely had a brain fart on that one lol. I will still throw a bit in there just in case. Would hate for this thing not to work when I need it to.
