Vevor 12x20 Portable Garage full assembly and overview

I was in need of a portable garage to cover my new pickup truck. The Vevor 12x20 is the ideal solution. This size has plenty of room to allow for the truck to park and open the doors. The portable garage is strong with all metal poles and supports. This cover has a water proof top and sides to keep the weather out. Four large windows on the sides allow for plenty of air flow to keep the garage from getting too hot. Both front and back have a zipper door so you can enter either side with ease.

    That is like a premiere edition compared to H.F.'s. Theirs is 10 dollars more and not as nice. The tubing on theirs is a lot t6hinner as well. One door and no windows. The H.F. ones doesn't have the push buttons on their tubing frame also so some people put self tapping screws in them. Great job!!

    Thanks for the great video. My wife and I like to decorate the house and driveway for halloween, and we think this will make a perfect tunnel or passageway for the trick or treaters as they come to the front steps. We can have hot chocolate and a heater inside for adults as well. Once Halloween is over we can move it around the back and use it to shelter the snowmobiles. Great video.

    I think this thing might also be a nice partytent too. If you're having some friends/family over for a (bbq)gardenparty and you're not sure about the weather, this thing can keep your guests dry. (I don't know how that's over there, but over here in the Netherlands most summerdays showers are predicted, but you never know where or when they gonna fall. You can keep checking the rainradar, but you only know for sure when water starts falling from the sky. And then you either find some shelter within 30seconds or you're soaking wet. But that's for 5-10minutes (maybe 20 if it's a big one) and then your party can go on.) And how about a dj-boot at your gardenparty, just a few drops of rain might seriously spoil the fun...

    Thanks for the video! My Vevor 10x20 was just delivered. I got this for protecting my new car, Im not in a permanent living location so i didn't want to build a garage. Im also concerned about snow, but have a Shelter Logic thats on its 4th winter we have some heavy snow in CT and its doing great although Im diligent about taking snow off of it. Im hoping Vevor will be just as durable... 🤔 🤞 Put it up today, it already tried to take off before we could get it grounded 🥴 and we only had 12mph winds today... Definitely a cheaper product than Shelter Logic, will be having to reinforce with lower conduit pipes since this product doesn't have any lower pipes to the frame, this also causes the sides to flap around,and we are having to use tie down straps attached to boulders since only 3 earth anchors cooperated with the rocks in the ground. The anchors it comes with do nothing to secure this tent. I have to say I'm a bit disappointed with the quality when comparing to Shelter Logic, but ya get what you pay for 😣 I hope it lasts at least one season and doesn't actually collapse... 😮

    We just took down our shelter logic because it got destroyed by the Sun. It was on its second tarp thrown over the top and tied to the base due to it ripping apart and disintegrating. On second tarp now the door disintegrated into nothing, so it went down.

  • @jllaine
    @jllaine11 ай бұрын

    I hope this one is more durable and lasts longer than its predecessor. My friend's 'party tent' used those bungee balls and the elastic aged out rather quickly on him. You may want to get a bag of spares for your annual maintenance.

    I just called VevorAnd they said that they do not have a top or a side replacement part for the 12 x 20.However they do for the 10 x 20 what a shame really would've liked to have had the 12 x 20 but it would just be junk in 2 to 3 years I doubt that the tops last any longer most likely less than three years. Although I really liked the bracing on these

  • @domfer2540
    @domfer25406 ай бұрын

    Nice looking. Needs some add on’s for improvement. One, need a tarp or individual cover between the piping and the trap. If it gets hot in your area, the metal frame may heat up and burn the cover. Two, as much I like the bungee cords, zip ties will hold up better. Three, the cover does not appear to be very strong. Four, the stake pins are not strong enough, if you want this to stay in place in the wind. Five, sand bags look nice, no nothing. Buy screw in anchors, I use the one with removal cap and use a drill to place in the ground. Mine is two years old and with stands 75 mph winds. Heavy winds, I remove the top cover.

    I have been working with these structures since 2006 and this is the first time I have seen the slope pipes in to 2 pieces. Do you think that increases the support strength or weaken the structure. I have invented a roof support system that can support upto 16" of compact snow and ice. You can put the top on before putting legs on then just tip roof up on one side, put the legs on one side then same thing on other side. I am not sold on split rails and legs. They just do that to save on shipping. Good job

    I was surprised by the price, quite a bit cheaper than expected......which probably is the reason it is currently out of stock!!!!! Once the permanent garage is sorted this could become the frame for a rather large shed. Put it on some footings, reinforce it with more of those corner support bars or similar, maybe a few more main support bars, some cheap roofing and siding....and bang, a super cheap 200 sqft shed.......or just pack it up and use as a party tent, as one comment suggested, or whatever when and as required :)

I’ve been considering one of these as I don’t want to invest the time or money into a permanent structure, yet. You always do a good job of discussing how things you try work out longer term (even if temporary) so I look forward to seeing how this works out in the end. Good luck on your continuing builds (and sorry about ye old faithful matrix, but glad it’s still finding a useful sunset for you neighbors use.) It’ll do a great job keeping that gorgeous truck protected and maybe save you some frost scraping on cold mornings. Love your channel!
