Etching the inner side of the artificial nail with a efile REALLY helps on longevity, the reason is that any glue or gel needs those little channels to grip onto it! Also , younger nails are more oily due to keratin production!! So dehydrator and primer are a good go!

Now on a more personal note Guylene thank you so much for sharing your issues with your nails I've been fighting it for two years and nobody nobody could tell me what was wrong. Now I know, I've even stopped using gel polish and stopped using acetone nail polish remover just trying like crazy to figure out what was going on. I get them all cleared up and then boom it's back. Oh thank you so much again for sharing your nail issue.

No problem! I have fought it for 2 years. Kept eliminating products, which is very hard doing nails and reviewing product. Thank goodness it wasn't acetone, I hate non acetone remover! It sucks 😄 I'm allergic to Hema. At first it was just my ring finger because I'd cut my cuticle and got cheap gel in it. I stopped using gels. But it's almost all grown out and I can use hema free gel. But I am still careful with it.

They are just beautiful!!! I like the shape of the covers she has on. They curve down as well as side to side for the apex. We’ve talked about these ridiculous tips now that go straight out and just are not natural looking at all. Well if you’re 20 and want them 8” long and you like that cool but if you are 30-60 and want them 1 1/2” long you want a natural curve. These look nice. Really nice. Can you take a full cover and slid it down a little away from the cuticle to make it more of a half cover if that’s what you wanted? I don’t think you would with gel right because it would be more work to build up the back a bit to blend. But just curious.

This may seem like a really elementary question, but I have to ask, is there some reason she can’t wear or won’t wear acrylics? I never found anyone in my career that could not wear those. I’m all for you trying this new stuff of course and can’t wait to see how this works. I just had to ask. I cannot get my right hand to grow out beyond the minimal length they are just because of minor use. So gel is not for everyone. I must find something that is stronger for me. I’m not working hard but I did recaulk the sink and have more to do. I do a lot but this isn’t work now come spring I probably won’t have any nails at this rate.
