Thanks. I have several Veto Bags and they all are great. I wish I had bought this one first but I didn't because I had a backpack of another brand I didn't like. I thought this would be like that but its not. I really really like this bag.

I’m warning you… I’ve bought many more since this video.. they are addictive 😂😂😂 Nothing wrong with my other tools that aren’t Knipex, but every pair of Knipex pliers I own are great.

Man your tool bag is a gold mine. I’m a big fan of Klein tool but I just started my transition to knipex, great tool.

I was the same way. I still love Klein but every pair of Knipex pliers I have purchased have been amazing. Just have to keep buying them a little at a time and take care of them. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts.

I like keeping my tape high on the bag as well. Doing that also free's up the tape holder for a belt pouch that I keep my headlamp and extra impact driver battery in.

I have finally figured out that I don't need that big of a tape measure most of the time. Especially for service work. Now if I'm framing or something...yes. But that's completely a different setup than using these tools. I used to have a 25' on me everywhere but they are bulky. I always have those close by if I need one but I don't need one with me at all times. Thanks for the comment!

You are welcome! They have a thinner needle nose type as well. They were always out of stock at the time I bought mine.

Great choice of tools ,,buy once not three times I say,,,clearly a tradesman that looks after his tools , I get moaned at as I’m always found in down time cleaning mine,,❤ great bag you can’t beat veto and the added height over mc helps , trouble is like all veto tool bags is they consume tools like a fat kid in a cake shop…

😂.. very true, they get heavy fast. Yeah I get comments all the time on the “cleanliness” of my tools. I guess I might need to start rubbing dirt on them before videos. I work hard to have the money to buy these things… I’m keeping them as long as I can..

Thanks. It is nice to move wires around in a panel. Knipex also has a pair of needle nose like the other pliers I have that I will probably buy at some point.

Nice tool setup, i liked the Klein circuit/breaker finder......... i own the regular veto tech mc, but I'm considering upgrading to this tool bag because it's taller......👍👍

Yeah that’s why I chose it over the MC. You might want to check out the Blackout Version too… it is basically the same as the MCT but has some storage on the inside flaps.

Totally agree on the Wera screwdrivers. You don’t really understand how good they are until you try them. I have the set your show here, the green handles that are uninsulated, and I just bought the USA red and blue version.

I wanted to get the USA Version until I saw it didn't have the sizes on the top. The Red Bull Version are the same, but have the sizes on the top. Unfortunately though by the time I knew what WERA was, the Red Bull limited edition is already like a collectors thing. I really like the Blue and Red though. I would like to have some. Are the USA ones laser tipped?

@@MORGANSMaintenance You are 100% correct I was disappointed that the sizes were not printed on top but I LOVE the color scheme, and yes they are basically just recycled Redbull drivers. They are laser etched. I have always admired the Redbull colors so when these came out I jumped on them. I was compelled to buy them because I thought they'd be limited edition. I'm paranoid to use them now so go figure! What I can tell you is that based on the size of the handle and overall height of the driver you should easily be able to tell the difference between a 1/2 phillips and the 5.5/6.5 slotted. Based on your videos looks like you wouldn't carry all 6 in your bag. Big bonus is the bottle opener also. I knew the Wera's were the one screwdrive to rule them all the first time I used the P2, I screwed down my fastener then when I went to pull it out it slipped out of my hand and dropped on the floor because it bit so well into the fastener. Also I wanted to make a comment on the fact that you have clean tools, screw those guys making those comments I think it's obvious you carry the tools for work and it's not hard to keep tools clean if you give a crap enough to do it. I don't even use my tools every day but they still get a little dirty I just don't bother cleaning them unless they're covered in drywall or plumbing sludge.

@@OShackHennessy yeah I’m a neat freak. I don’t clean mine after every use but I clean them after I am done with that specific job. I also have a lot of tools so they are rotated around depending on what I am doing/bag I’m carrying. So mine to take the full amount of abuse which keeps them newer looking longer. The laser tips are great. I think they are superior to most magnetic screwdrivers. I may end up getting the set still.. it’s been in my Amazon list for while now. I’m wanting to get a set that aren’t the insulated shafts and the red/blue is the best color I’ve seen so far. Im with you on the not wanting to use them. I’ve bought most of the Klein Legacy stuff that came out and I was back and forth before I put them in the rotation.

I like that little IIT magnetic parts tray. I'd like something easier to fit in my tool bag than the round one that I currently have. Was trying to find those Dewalt demo screwdrivers, but they seem to be discontinued and the newer version doesn't seem as good. Ended up getting the ones by Estwing. Less than $8 at Lowes for the set. Only drawback is they are not marked as to which is slotted and which is phillips. Love my folding Klein jab saw as well.

Home Depot is where I got the demo screwdrivers from… I bought another set in case they got rid of them because I liked them. I haven’t noticed if they don’t have them anymore. That folding jab saw is nice… I was back and forth between getting the Lennox that takes sawzall blades and folds, but I almost always use mine in drywall and the regular blade is much stronger than a sawzall blade.

@@MORGANSMaintenance The slotted screwdriver on the newer Dewalt demo set has a rather fat taper to it. If I am going to use it for prying, I wanted one with a more normal taper. Estwing makes good hammers so I figured their demo screwdrivers could take a pounding. The price was certainly right. I agree with you on the sawzall blade issue. I have a folding Milwaukee saw that takes the 6" sawzall blades. I like it quite a bit, but I use it for metal cutting (e.g. toilet bolts) and a bit of wood cutting. The Klein gets the drywall jobs. Nice and stiff for jabbing and has very sharp teeth.

The only problem with Knipex wrenches is that after about 20 to 25 years of using the same tool you'll get bored with it. You'll use it as a hammer, you'll use it as a breaking bar and you'll use and abuse it in many other ways. And it will just last and do it's job. In fact the same applies to all Knipex tools.

I always try to not use my tools that way but you are right... it inevitably happens. Especially when you are somewhere and don't have the right tool for the job. I'm always looking for my next "Knipex". The tool that's better than what I have been using. One that gives me joy to use it for some time because I appreciate the little change. I have shifted brands of nearly every type of tool in the last 5 years and I will probably do so again. (I had all Bosch power tools just 3 years ago and Dewalt before that) Thanks again.

@@MORGANSMaintenance Often it's not the matter of lack of proper tool - the circumstances just force you to abuse a tool. Like working in a confined space where reaching for proper tool is too labour intensive. As for Knipex quality - I'm in constant awe how good these tools are. It comes with price of course, but it shows how far ahead of competition they are in terms of ergonomics, proper, work-orientated design and durability.

Good info no fluff and straight to the point. I’m thinking about the volt claw is this tool worth keeping two one in each bag?

Thank you! I have both versions of it, there is the one you see here and a solid yellow one. I like the one you see in this bag better because it allows you to clip around a wire and maneuver it. The yellow one is more of a “pick” type tool. If you have to work live in boxes or panels often, that are also stuffed or an ugly mess it’s definitely worth having. That… or a pair of the fully Insulated Knipex pliers. They sell the ones I have in this bag and they also have a needle nose version. The head on the ones I have can be a little big sometime but they were out of stock on the needle noses forever. I may pick them up one day. I don’t use mine real often that I would keep mine with me all the time (in my go bag - TP-4B)…but I like having it when I might need it. I am also not usually far from my second bag though. If you are then that might be different but I would probably start with one and see how much you use it. Hope that helps!

Hello! I enjoyed your videos. I was wondering if you had a possible link for the magnetic you have on the front of your bag. That is a great idea. Also from you other video I wonder if the wera tool check plus would be good for one of your bags, and also another tool I have enjoyed more then my knipex sets is the wera jokers 6004. I know you do a little bit of different work then me as I am a pure HVAC technician. But anyways I enjoyed the video, picked up the impact klien 7-1 from you other video. New subscriber here, look forward to other videos

So I have a mix of everything but I am also sometimes have to fit into tight spaces for my job. I think you will really like the wera joker. I actually perfer them to the knipex mainly for the quick fit and turn. And I think you videos are great. I am not able to make a video.Mayne one day I could. Thanks again! Thanks. I keep a set of SAE and Metric in my truck. I find that I don’t typically need them on most jobs. So instead of carrying them all the time I just grab them out of my truck the times that I do.

try putting leather gloves, with waterproof stitching, through the wash, then treat with mink oil; most tactile ever. I also prefer Olso to Knipex; more compact & MUCH cheaper, great for EMT in tight spaces.

Do you prefer the electricians forged wire strippers or installation pliers better? I’m a plumber and sometimes we’re installing electric hot water tanks, retrofitting switches to control them or reinstalling a simple light fixture we had to remove from ceiling tiles. So nothing major but I like the excuse to buy something else Knipex lol. Which is your favorite and what might you recommend for my use case?

I prefer using the Installation Pliers more when I am using 12 & 14 Awg specifically due to their size… but if you are going to buy only one pair it would be hard not to go with the Forged Wire Strippers. They are usually a little cheaper and have more features. Not much bigger, just thicker. The Forged Wire strippers strip 10 Awg solid, I would think that would be useful to you. I have a video for each one if you haven’t seen those yet. Hope that helps.

Thanks 👍 It’s a container that came with some Wago Wire Connectors I got off Amazon. That bag is sitting on my office table so I can see for sure Monday, but I believe it is this… amzn.to/3NkG46v I have since upgraded to the MCT Blackout (I wanted the TP-LC, so I bought the Blackout to get it for free during the Spring Promotion). It is basically the same exact bag except it has zipper pockets in the door flaps that helps a little. The best place probably would be to keep more down in the bottom. You can fit a bigger container down in there… if you don’t already have stuff there. It’s definitely an awesome bag for tools but not the best for accessories. I sometimes just hang a small parts bag off mine. Hope that helps! (I will check Monday and if it’s a different container I’ll let you know)

The Milwaukee ones do fairly well. You loose a little bit, but I do better with them than just vinyl gloves like the Venom’s for sure.

Are you able to stand a framing hammer in that bag?

No I don’t think so. The bag is only 14” tall. Some people put hammers on the outside of the bag by slipping the handle through the D-ring on the side. The handle of a framing hammer would probably still hit the ground before the bag when setting it down, just depends on how long you handle is. Hope that helps and makes sense.

I clean my tools typically after each use/job. Just depends on how dirty they get. It only takes a few minutes if you do it regularly, and just the few tools you used at a time instead of them all at once.

I've always called them Channel Locks.... except when I was little I called the Alligator pliers...lol. Hard to get it out of my brain. Same with Cresent/adjustable wrench.

@@stephenzangardi1347 I do a little bit of everything. This bag doesn’t get as much use as my others so there isn’t as much wear and tear. I also choose to take care of my stuff, it doesn’t take much effort or time for me if I do it regularly. Not every customer, but many, look at things like how clean you leave a job site or take care of things like your tools or vehicle as part of the process of hiring someone. It’s all in how you view things. Clean tools could be someone who doesn’t do much with them, or someone who takes pride in them. Someone with dirty tools could be seen as someone who really uses them, or doesn’t take pride in what they do.

I would suggest the Wera 05004016001. Also they make it Standard.

Vetopropac.com is the companies website. That is the best place to buy as far as making sure you get the warranty. You can also get them on Amazon but some sellers don’t qualify as a retailer through Veto for the warranty. Locally they are usually found in HVAC Supply Stores. (Like Johnstone) Sometimes they are in Electrical and Plumbing Supply Stores but not all of them.

You can also sometimes find good used ones on Facebook Marketplace. You won’t get the warranty but to be honest I have never had to file a warranty claim.

Knipex is pronounced Nipex, just like knife is not pronounced “kuh-nife” 😂

I prefer saying Nipex… but the company actually says Kuh-Nip-Ex kzread.info/dash/bejne/e2ie0pqnnpOam9Y.html I would rather it was Nipex, hard for me to break the habit the other way. If I say Nipex though I get a comment the opposite way so… can’t win 😂

We are English speaking, so why do you pronounce Knipex Ka-nipex? English speaking pronounciation is nipex. If you are going to pronounce that particular brand how German speaking people do then Wera is Vera and Wiha is Veeha. Not forgetting the German car manufacturer VolksWagen which is pronounced FalksVargen in German.

I probably do spend too much… but I also am reviewing tools, so I buy some to give my thoughts so people can decided before spending their money. I definitely don’t work very little, but I work less than I used to. The time I save having the right tool at the right time makes me the same money on less time. The cleaner and more professional I am in homes and on job sites gets me higher paying customers…which allows me to work less when I would like. But if I’m not working much and have enough money to spend too much on tools, I must be doing something right. Appreciate your thoughts but we all do different stuff. You may need 4, someone else 6, someone else 30.. Not everyone does the same job as me or you.
