VETO PRO SB-LD Loaded into TP-LD - How do the Tools Fit?

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Just had a video for my new TP-LD from Veto Pro Pac. You can see that here - • NEW! Veto Pro TP-LD B...
I also have a Loadout Video for the SB-LD you can see here - • Veto Pro SB-LD Loadout...
In my video for the TP-LD I had a subscriber ‪@MattHmm-rq6dn‬ ask to see some tools put in the TP-LD so he could decide if it was a bag for him before the promo ended....
I wouldn't have time to tune-in my loadout before the promo ended, so I decided to just do a comparison by moving tools from one bag to another. This should help you see how the same tools fit in each bag. That way if you are on the fence you will get an idea if you need to pull the trigger on any of these bags before the Spring promotion ends.
Let me know what you think, or if you have any questions in the comments below. Thanks for watching!

    Watching this gave me a better appreciation for the SB-LD to be honest. They really did a good job with the side pockets on that bag to hold smaller stuff. Or maybe you just did a good job finding things to load them out. The TP-LD looked like it could hold more “medium” tools (I’m thinking pliers and screwdrivers). Whereas the SB-LD isn’t as good for those but it’s good for bigger stuff and also smaller bits and pieces in all the side pockets.

    I definitely have both of these overstuffed. I generally do that at the start and start weeding stuff out. Sometimes it might be better to start small and add… It’s always a hard process for me, I’m an over thinker when it comes to my truck or bags/boxes

    In a perfect world the SB-LD would have a flap like the TP-LD. I'm on the fence about the TP-LD during the last month of the promo, already have the SB-LD (love it) back storage comes in clutch as a promo giveaway by getting the MB5B and I think its a little heavy empty, (MB5B), not too impressed.

    Their totes like the OTMC are pretty good at it, but I just don’t like open top totes. That was actually the first Veto I bought for that reason, and it is good… I just like a bag with a cover more as a personal preference.

    Another great vid. these transfer vids are my favorite. I'm sticking with my sb-ld. That magical center compartment for my fuel,meter etc is the main selling point. I use the SB-LD as my secondary bag to my TP-XXL for tools I can't fit in it. I carry my TP-XXL and SB-LD into most jobs if I don't want to mess around with no duplicates. I you have a connection at VETO if they could just make the TP-XXL but with a bigger footprint to get that center storage for the drill, large meter etc... I'd be set with just one bag for most everything. keep em coming

  • @MORGANSMaintenance

    I don’t have a connection.. I wish I did, it gets pricey wanting to try all these bags 😂 I’m going to keep using my SBLD for now and figure out what combination works best. I wanted a DP3 more than anything, so I got the TPLD as a closed bag option if that becomes an issue with the SB I try to run two bags, but it’s hard to load them out where you either don’t have nearly the same tools in both so you can take just one, or like you said… you end up needing to take them both because you don’t have duplicates. Room for bigger items is always the issue.

    Thanks for putting that out there helped to pop the bubble in my mind that it would work out. I think most people carry some surge powered driver or something I'm there bag. When the tp6b came out I saw the m12 impact on side pocket in rhe promo pictures and made it usable for a smaller loadout. I do like the flap and it's black but at this point I can see Iit will get a case of "tomuchtoolitis" aka overstuffed. I'm looking to do a sling over the shoulder thing maybe and this looked promising. I'll keep my eye out for more ideas. Another thing that was helpful is the pannels I already own for my tp6b will fit this so didn't have to buy any extra. Yes it was helpful 👍.

    I think there could be a whole college course on how to loadout Veto bags. |I moved from my motor maintenance tools from the TP4B to the SB-LD and found the side pockets on that larger and the tools rattle around more, also seemed to be a bit shorter and don't hold the screwdrivers as well as the TP4B does. I found the bit sockets on the SB-LD smaller and don't hold the deep sockets i used to carry in the TP4B so the get put in their loose. Using some socket holder rails does help. Overall I like the SB-LD better as it allow me to separate the meter and leads from the clanky tools that can damage them, without having to carry it in another bag.

    The loadout video in the guess the trade today has something in his bag to help with smaller tools in a big pocket. Nothing new I hadn’t seen before, but something I’ve never put into practice using PVC. The TP4B is an amazing little pouch. You can fit a bunch in it. It does take some playing around with them to figure out what will work best. That’s why I did the video this way. I have to overthink my bags for about a month before I figure out where the tools go 😂. I knew I wouldn’t get it figured out till the promotion was over.

With the tpld I believe it will be the sweet spot for me. I also don’t put a meter in my bag because my testing bag with my meter and Stubbs has been my mb2. I can’t wait for my tpld to come in 🙏🤙

    That’s what I’ve been telling people. I feel the TPLD is more or an upgrade to the TPLC than in the same category. of the SBLD A little bit more size and some more versatility with the V-Swap… unless you need a slightly slimmer compact bag, I would go TPLD over TPLC if I was buying one of the two right now.

  • @MattHmm-rq6dn

    Its amazing to see how dense a tool bag can get yours reminded me of when i used my tp6b for a while. The bag that never ends it spews out tools agian and agian. After going back and looking at the backstock of older veto bags I have things really stick out. The side pockets not being segmented really does limit there use. My thoughts were to use the bulk pannel in the front for a powered driver. Is it time to make that flap for the sbld ourselves? Can we buy a spare flap section from veto directly 😆. Maybe they need to croudsource a new bag from us "With all our favorite things!"

    Very nice comparison. I still cant believe you managed to fit an installation driver and meter in the SBLD. I struggled to get an m12 impact and klein meter in mine. I find Veto's "Tech pac" line a bit odd where you have grab and go bags like these and then tanks like the tech pacs. With that in mind, I dont get it either: sure, all these bags are great for hand tools, but where do your power tools go? I see loadouts of the tech pacs and they're full of hand tools... I'm like "where's your power tools"?

  • @MORGANSMaintenance

    @MORGANSMaintenance

    The Fluke 324 is pretty slim, there aren’t a lot of meters I think I could fit as easily. The Install driver is bigger… but slimmer than the impacts too, so that would be my guess. I think that’s how my loadout might end up evolving. I bought the Bulk panel for my MCT Blackout awhile back. I might go with hand tools and vessel usb in small bag, then power tools with similar hand tools in the MCT… It is hard to come up with a combination where you don’t end up taking in two bags sometimes/most of the time

  • @MattHmm-rq6dn

    If you need a slim meter fluke 101 is nice or that new auto ranging milwaukee isn't too bad size wise (2213-30) they get the job done and are reputable

  • @OnusBones
    @OnusBones2 ай бұрын

    I wanted to try moving what's in my MCT Blackout into the TP-LD, but it doesn't quite work. That said, the MCT is "overtooled," with a number of things I'm really not likely to use. What I probably need to do is reverse the loading process: pick the tools first, then select the right bag for them. That is after all how I decided what bag(s) to buy in the first place, but then I stuffed too much alternate stuff in them. I AM discovering I really don't like pliers that want to spread open. That may seem convenient in use, but it really isn't necessary, and makes it hard to fit them into a bag without it getting sloppy.

  • @MORGANSMaintenance

    @MORGANSMaintenance

    I normally don’t care from most spring loaded pliers for that reason myself. I have both these bags way “overlooked” myself. My small bag needs to just be the things I use on 90% of my jobs…any of these tools are probably less than 60%… but I have a slot 😂
