Got myself a Sherman, upgrading from my +2 year old MSX, as my main form a transport for the next many years I'm very very happy with it, the sherman is a monster, and such a stable and reliable vehicle that I will happily trust for years to come It won't crack open when dropped lightly, it won't fuck up, it won't run out of battery, it's just got it all. Can definitely recommend

@@OWGAC I watched 25 people ride it and did not see a single negative impression of the Veteran. Heavier riders remain questionable for the "high performance" category. But every decision I have heard the designers make, seems like they listened to rider feedback

You need to wear more protective gear riding at those speeds dude. I would hate to see you have an accident 👍

It's about all the unpredictable factors of other commuters (cars, bikers, etc) who YOU have NO control over and one wrong move from them can roll out a chain reaction of events and there goes your limbs. Don't be cocky....get padded up when you ride and humble yourself. We need to ensure you stick around to provide us more fantastic videos. If you do indeed normally pad up more, then that's awesome.

I don't get the stubbornness. I own a boosted, I love it. But those tiny ass wheels...even up to 120mm...can't compare to an 18" wheel that rolls over everything. Plus you're never going to beat the turning radius of a EUC.

Dang Hsiang! You got me changing my mind on the wheel that I wanted, and trying to save up for. Your video have been so good that now I want this wheel. I love the range, speed, and the durability. I was looking up at ewheel, and they say there's a deposit for preorder. I don't remember how much I think it was either five hundred, or a thousand dollars. I wish I can preorder mine so I can ride to. I know I won't be able to get it right away, but I"m so happy it's close to coming out. One more thing. I hope they have a seat for it like the Monster.

Its an expensive wheel, but for what you get its worth it I think, I was especially impressed with how well the wheel is built and survive that crash, worth it for that alone!

@@OWGAC The crash is what sold me to. After you showed how the monster looked like in a same crash looking worse. I just changed my mind in wanting that wheel. Plus the Vet Sherman has the longest battery range. I love it, and can't wait to get one probably after everyone gets theirs. I got to save for this machine. That was a great video like always.

Riding at speed, weaving in and out among cars, trucks, and buses, all while holding a selfie stick and carrying on an informative discussion on how it all works, I'm in awe! The shout out he gives to the NYC riders towards the end is pretty cool too, how he refers to them as living to ride their EUC's, or words to that effect. I admire any activity that inspires that kind of enthusiasm!

They are completely different wheels and if anything I would suggest selling the 18XL as that wheel probably overlap with your S18 more. I haven't tried one yet but from what I heard once you rode the S18 you won't want to go back to the 18XL. And with the sherman, it'll be like having a jeep and a BMW!

It is because of this video that I am now the proud owner of the Veteran Sherman EUC. Thank you for demonstrating the capabilities of this amazing machine so accurately... this is my first EUC and I can not be happier.. ..

One negitive is the amount of dissembling needed to change the tire, from what I have seen. It appears a multi-pin connector half way down to the wheel motor hub would be a good mod.

@@OWGAC For the VS have you considered Rubber (from tires) used as rub strips and protection on roll points? Pedal bottoms, cage wrap, etc. There may be some interesting solutions that can work for many machines.... that are more fragile for impact resistance. A rubber to metal band or stiff iron exoskeleton type protection.

This seems poetry =) very interesting to see this evolution. For my usage, I think I have in that wheel too many weight and battery to justify my order. But this seems amazing, and I guess I would love to have one.. or a smaller version of it.. maybe it's the next step on the Veteran list (show the power with this wheel, and than a wheel to other audience)

Unless you need to carry it up and down stairs regularly I actually think the weight isn’t too bad because the trolley handle works very good. But this is a wheel that is all about speed and performance!

Bloody hell. Here we are witnessing a historic jump to make these things even better. Awesome wheel. Watching your review made all my hairs jump up at my arms and giggling like little girl. You done it again sir. That laughter is so personal and unique that even not seeing you behind camera I always know it's you. With the wheel like this other manufacturers have to up their game. Its made by a Russian company and NYtarzan sells it, but currently there’re no stock since shipping from Russia to here had been Locked up due to the virus. Once things open up I’ll prob do a review and provide more info

I have the Sherman AND love it true story

I was so sure that in the next 5 years no craft would match this one that I bought two. Despite the array of new wheels in the market , including suspension provided devices which I think is the future, I feel I am arguably right so far... Who knows what the future will bring but keep your Sherman just in case... Not even the Max is that fast yet and who needs more torque anyways? This is a tarmac wheel with the ability of getting you through any rough path you may find along the way. Not an off road wheel that will still make it through almots anything you throw at it if needed. Keeping the distance, and once again arguably, this is like a Ferrari FF unicycle between your legs..

Thank you, you lucky! There have never been a time when there were more EUC choices than now! Keep in mind that it is not at all unusual for wheels to have day one launch issues so its usually better to wait for batch 2, this especially make sense for the new crop of suspension wheel given their complexity.

I always wear my motorcycle jacket when I am riding at speed (the gopro wheel views) when I talk to the camera I don’t because I usually travel way slower.

Good review! But must say, I do not understand how several of you seem to be riding at high speeds in the street, without wrist-guards, not even gloves... (Also without knee protection)... That will really suck if/when you were to face-plant...

remember that some of these guys rides everyday and thousands of miles and is as close to "professional rider" as we have. when they are fully equipped for a "speed run" they are even Faster!! I would never be able to capture them in speed mode since I can't keep up!!

I suspect it won’t be anytime soon, suspension is very tricky to implement and likely too risky a move for a brand new company like Veteran to try to pull off.

Great quality video as usual. Love that they have considered balance when placing the cells - it looks far more like a “proper” design rather than tagging on.

None of the seams are gasketed, they are tight but water may still seep in, the air intake is the main challenge. Guys here had used hydrophobic screen before but I am not sure how effective it is.

No protection? Why do you ride without a full face helmet and no wristgards?

I need my left hand to operate the camera and the full face helmet obscure too much of my vision, I am more fully geared in the chase cam views but you mostly just see my legs!

Wow, cool. If and when I get a wheel, I'll get a Veteran Sherman! I thought I would have to get a used beater to start off with because of possibly destroying the case but now I could get what I know I want and be just fine. I guess all the different components of the case can be purchased separately in case you break or bend something. Is that true? What about customer support and price?

I believe so, that’s how most EUC companies works, I’d probably put motorcycle frame slider on the bars and that would make this wheel truely bomb proof!

Absolutely great review! The fact that it slide in the crash is huge! Never liked that the wheels bounce around and can impact you from behind in a crash. In other videos covering the demo, there was talk about alot of dipping forward and also some oscillation. What's your opinion on those matters?

The oscillation only happens at extreme low speed like 0-1mph, it’s annoying but so not an issue that I didn’t mention it. The dipping issues was exactly as I had described, every wheel dip except for the MSP, but you suffer a low speed cap if you want higher torque. For me this was a better balance, I don’t push past the beep and a 32mph wheel was not fast enough for me, if I want to ride a wheel at that speed I ride my Z10 its more fun!

After watching ustride live all day 8 hours about abrams im back to thinking sherman is a winner. Shetman 2500w spin 97 Abrsms 3500w spin 95 Abrsms range during that vid was estmated 50miles as guess by battery expert. Hear say. So im back to saving for sherman. Abrams motor sounds epic ha.

honest question... is it legal to ride this in the city? what about bigger roads like highways?? much appreciated your time. INcredible electronic machine.

I don't believe so, but the law involved is pretty complicated and even the nypd likely don't know it well enough to write anyone up for it, I have never heard of a single ticket written for an euc rider

For 3k i might as well just get a used car lol. I was thinking one to commute to work but damn at these prices, as cool and as fun as it may be.

the one positive is the low maintenance cost of EUCs, I use to ride a motorcycle and boy they don't tell you how crazy expensive it is to get that pretty italian bike serviced. for my Monster the only thing I ever need after 2k miles is a wrench to tighten the axle nut and that was it.

I love to but unfortunatlely the wheel have to move to the next reviewer so I will not have the chance to do a range test. but keep in mind that this is a high speed performance wheel and is meant to be ridden at max speed pushing heavy loads so range will be significantly impacted under that kind of condition. we would estimate 50-60 miles riding like that.
