My son is also homeschooled through our church and he is getting a lot better education than what he was getting through the state curriculum. I live just outside of Nashville, so the reference to the Covenant School shooting made me cry and made me remember why my child is homeschooled. At least I know what he is being taught and I know he is safer at home. #HOG

As a Veteran, we started homeschooling our daughter this year. She is in 3rd grade. My older two have gone through public school but it’s too crazy now. They are not even coming out being able to read, count money, do basic math.

I never had a problem before but I do disagree with our children getting hormone blockers I also disagree with drag queens coming into the school. I also have huge issues with books such as Gender Queer which shows actual sexual acts in it. This is not okay to expose small children to. Nor would I want penthouse or playboy in school libraries. If you’re 18 do you but I should have a choice of what my children are being exposed to. I pay taxes and shouldn’t have to pull my children out of school to protect them from what goes against my beliefs.
