Great report as usual. Note that Disgusting Resilient states that the operative cannot be injured (other than battle scars). Might have helped on some of those attacks for the DG.

So most of my Guardsmen are just the standard Box but you need more to make an entire team. So I had a bud 3D print a few proxy minis. I think they are called Valour Korp. Cheers!

oh my! People will laugh at how easy it is. 🤣 It's a single coat of Army Painter Speed Paint Malignant Green. Then just some details like silver and a speed paint brown for the leather. I appreciate it! :)

Thanks! No, I have a painting video on the VG. The DG were just a single coat of Army Painter speed paint malignant green. Then filled in with other various speed paints for leather, etc.

Great video! I have a question regarding mortal wounds in Kill Team. So I noticed the guardsman sniper does mortal wounds on critical hits. Do those mortal wounds go through regardless of if that crit is saved or not?

Correct! You apply the MW just because of the crit and then roll saves. The crit could be blocked or apply even more damage on top of the mortal wounds.

I like your reports 👍 if I may say something I think will make it better is: Things like tac ops need more time on the screen.

I use so many songs by Karl Casey at White Bat Audio. I don't a reference to which song it was, however.

How do you feel about using a compendium team compared to the "newer" bespoke teams? Is there an obvious imbalance between the two or do you feel that its within an acceptable range?

Death Guard have a 5+ FNP which just makes them so resilient. Unfortunately they are slow. I think the game against the VG was fairly balanced but I think they would get smoked against some of the other Kill Teams.

Death Guard are almost good, their resilience ensure them they'll stay on board until turn 4, however you'll depend on your opponents misplays to win even if you play solid and have good luck.

Those deathguards sure could take a punch but sure had trouble aiming as well 😅

So. In kill team, the astra militarum infantry are no longer used only as walls of meat? Now they are capable of killing something? I was sad to see battle reports in 40k where this faction with such great lore and aesthetics was always devastated (infantry only) and 90% of the casualties were caused only by vehicles. How can you have twenty guys shooting laser weapons and not make a single scratch?
