Vetements profits off of the culture of satire and meme which surrounds them. when other companies are riffed or made into means it lessens the value. However Vetements profits off of the idea that they impractical, divisive, unparalleled and the fact that they mix culture. In many ways they are successful, their collaborations are always interesting, the highlight interesting fringe communities and are able to sell $920 snoop dog shirt as a joke because it becomes a meme and then more of a commodity.
