Condolences to your family and yourself. Like you said he is home no more pain so you believe he is with Jesus and that is comforting to know. That is the only thing that saves me from a very dark place bc I lost my mama daddy and my sister all within the last 3 yrs, all about a year apart. Not to mention G*d gave me a daughter and at 37 my baby was 2 months when I lost mom. I had another baby we lost then I got pregnant again and had my youngest and my dad passed when she was almost 4 months. Last Aug I lost a sister and I am currently at 40 with a little one on the way. I have to believe it is all for the good and that one day I'll get to go see them and pray all of my babies make it to once again be with our family.... I never want to imagine the pain of living without my husband. I am so sorry you have to go through that. You will be with him again and I hope you had a wonderful life together here 💖 prayers ❣️

As a Christian from China,I am in tears when listening to this hymn. Many christians in China are facing the most terrible persecution in dacades . But we still have Jesus . We have faith that Jesus loved us and died to save us all.So, as Paul the Apostle remind us, we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

I love to hear Vestal sing! She has a sweet spirit and had a wonderful anointing! I heard her say, I be singing until Jesus comes! She doing just that, thank God. Her sing make me want to have more faith than ever!

Hallelujah There Is A Fountain that washes the guilt of sin from our lives and it flows from Calvary. Sister Vestal was recovering from a battle with breast cancer,she’s physically weak but her voice is strong. A standing testament to this great lady of faith.

Most people lose the power of their voices as they age. Vestal used hers for the glory of God. He let her keep it. I hope to hear her open her mouth in praise to the Lord in Heaven some day.

I was blesses as a Preachers /Missionary Kid during the 50tg General Conference of the Pentecostal Church of God, being privileged to attend the Youth service where Vestal Goodman, ministered just as powerful, about Her Jesus! Then during that same convention getting to sit and be blessed while The Happy Goodman Family sang and ministered of God's redemption power! I've been so blessed to have the privileges I've had in my life! The amazing gift God has given me ! I ran from that calling on my life, but so thankful God called me time and again! Now, I want to serve my King Jesus! Amen

There was a special anointing on Vestals voice. Tears flow when she sings. I wonder if she met Naomi Judd yet in heaven. What a reunion that is gonna be.

What beautiful words....

As a boy I'd get up early on Sunday morning to watch "The Happy Jubilee" and I'd try to sing like Vestel only being about 5. I then went on to sing in church, at school, college, Disney, private concerts, yet I never met her in person. I did sing in the same program with The Happy Goodmans one time, but that was when Johnny Cook was with them while Vestel was sick. I owe so much to her and she had added so much joy to my life and helped me make a career in singing, teaching, coaching and loving music. I miss her.

These songs are such a comfortable and sweet place for me on evenings like today. I grew up in the heartland of the US, and this represents the culture I grew up in. I remember voices such as Vestel Goodman on Sunday morning sitting with my grandfather, grandmother, and my parents. These days, I live in South Korea. I have a wonderful church home here, sweet Christian friends, great work in the ministry alongside those sweet friends, good job, sweet Christian wife that has shared 30+ years with me. We have wonderful choirs and great messages. I have a good job here and we are comfortable ... I have no complaints about where I am - kind of wish I was closer to my older kids, but overall, life is good for me here. But sometimes, I just get hungry for the culture I grew up in. That is not a complaint about where I am - just a recognition of the beauty of the culture and souls I grew up around. It's late tonight, and as I started looking for something that sounded like I wanted to listen to, this was what just appealed to me. Tonight, I just miss those sweet sounds and sweet souls from Heartland, US. No complaints about where I am nor the friends I have here. I just needed a touch back to where I grew up. This took me back to those days and that place.. Thank you for posting. I share your hope in Jesus as do many around me here in South Korea. Things are different, but we all serve the same Savior.

Vestal was the da vinci of gospel. Truly knew how to paint the lyrics to a song. She truly was blessed with her ability to communicate thru god. You could see it every time she sang for him. Truly soul touching!

these old time gospels songs go right to the heart ....unlike today songs which is more crowd pleasing than spiritual.

It’s Easter Monday April 22, 2019 and just very blessed with this song! Yes I loose all my guilty stains cos of this Fountain filled with Blood! As my Lord approaches the Throne of God with the BOWL OF HIS OWN BLOOD, God the Father says “My Son, this is the Blood of my New Covenant, never again shall I require the sacrifices of blood from animals, this is ENOUGH for the eternal redemption of mankind” and so REDEEMING LOVE SHALL BE MY THEME TILL I DIE!

Tears streaming freely without a care because God is so good. Vestal reminds me of Sunday's as a child. She touches my heart when she sings.

Sing it Vestal. Get that Heavenly choir singing for the Lord. I will be joining you one day. It won't be too much longer to He comes back for us.

I'm not musical, but I do know a really great talent when I hear one, and Vestal Goodman is certainly right at the top.

This lady reminds me sooo much of my mother and I remember the songs from Sunday morning and my mother would sing these songs and tears running done her cheeks. It gives me chills thinking of those days. I am sure that the music in heaven is far better than here on earth. I look forward to the days I can be with God and sing those songs again for him.
