Victoria Lawrence was born in Leeds in 1873, she originally performed with her father but her solo career took off in 1892, She adopted a cockney accent on stage and toured the US at least 3 times where she was one of the highest paid vaudeville stars. She retired after WWI.
Vesta was lured back into the recording studio in 1931 to record this medley of some of her most popular songs, available on Regal 10'' and this Columbia 12'' records.
She appeared in the 1932 Royal Variety Show and in a few films in the 1930's, she died aged 77 in 1951

    ***** Thanks again Joe, almost mint condition helps reproduction the Florrie one is well played. Imagine Vesta and Florrie as a double header, you'd be laughing crying and singing at the same time, That is what you would call a top star bill.
