Great work. I am building a 1/35th Jagdpanther and I like how you put the PE side armor holders after you glued the side armor. I'll try that.

Thanks @perrybuxo77! It is a bit risky to glue a bunch of PE parts before painting... We need to be extra carefull. But painting get so much better. Have a nice build!

This was an awesome video to watch great patience and technique. I found the best way to add link tracks is to use plastic mágica 10sec setting glue as it makes a big difference in moving tracks into position. But good effort and would love to see you do zimmerit

Thanks a lot @theartificerchannel2110! I'm really glad you enjoyed the video, and my struggle on the tracks 😅... thanks for the tip, I'll try to find this product you mentioned. Regarding the zimmerit... I did it once, a long time ago, but the result was awful... but now that you say, maybe I'll try again. Thanks again!

I've just completed the Vespid Comet. My first 1/72nd AFV. Absolutely superb kit with a lot of very tiny parts...... some of the photoetch was extremely fiddly! Metal gun barrel and link and length tracks,( jeeze, THAT was a learning curve!). Not the easiest introduction but the Jagdpanther is next up. Amazing kits.

On a AFV like this with no track sag decent rubber band tracks that stick with glue would have been better even though these were link and length and better than individual track links which are the bane of tank modelling in 1/72 in my opinion .

l could'nt agree more . lndividual track links were a pain in 1/35 but since l've started modelling in1/72 also they are even worse , Revell , lBG and Vespid being the worse offenders . Tracks and running gear moulded in a single piece as practiced by S models are far better . After all modelling is meant to be enjoyable and assembling individual links is boring , tedious and stressful .

@clouddog2393 I haven't tried individual links not workable tracks so far. I have one from SSModel for a T-34. One day I'll try it, and should post here as well. But tracks are by far the most annoying part for me.

I think your C hook on the sides are the wrong way round - the tubes on which they fit are hollow, so the small pin on the end of each tube should fit into the recess on the mounting frame. That makes them a bit easier to fit. While I applaud the effort in thinning the front mudguards, the outer edge is a vertical flange, so the thinning is unnecessary on that edge. The kit is splendid and you’re doing a fine job of adding the few details necessary.

Thank you for your comments. The C hook bug me a little while following the instructions, because they seemed upside down to me as well. But in the walkaround in primeportal.net (data3.primeportal.net/tanks/john_griffin/jagdpanther/images/jagdpanther_26_of_57.jpg), you can see that indeed it is as shown on the assembling manual, at least for that reference vehicle. And you are right about the mudgards.... I got too exited scraping the plastic and I ended up removing inadvertently those edges....

@@TheModelerNest Sorry, by C hook I meant the devices attached to the front upper hull side tool stowage frames that are used to connect the ends of the tow ropes to the shackles. They appear to be installed inside out on the model, as the short pin should fit into the shallow hole on the hull side frame. The photo shows the Schurzen mounts, which look fun to fold up but I’ve not got to mine yet. I might end up printing some as a friend lost most of his during the folding process….

@@robertlockie7072 I see... then you are right. The short pin is a bit too short, and did not help much... And regarding Schurzen mounts, you might have a better strategie by printing them. Good luck! And thanks again for your comments!

7:00 painful to watch. Lay down a bit of masking tape sticky side up and put the required number of links on the tape. Use Tamiya thin glue on the links and give them a few seconds to soften the plastic. Remove the tape and links from the bench and rap them around the sprocket or idler wheel and tape them to the top and bottom runs.

l personally don't like Vespid models . The individual track links and photo etch provided are a real pain and makes what should be an enjoyable build becomes boring , tedious and stressful . They should follow "S models" example and have the running wheels and tracks moulded as a single piece part .
