Vespa Ride to Pennsylvania’s Linn Run State Park

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

A ride from Zion to Johnstown, Pennsylvania, to meet up with my friends Justin and Alex. From Johnstown we then rode west to Linn Run State Park as a scouting mission for the Rust Belt Rollers annual scooter rally, “Tetanus!”
Justin was aboard his Honda Monkey. Alex rode his Honda Super Cub (which he successfully used in last year’s Scooter Cannonball). I rode my Vespa GTS.

And this is what riding is all about. Great roads, great bikes, great friends, equals happiness. :)

Well said, Eric! I never imagined that riding a two-wheeled scoot would bring about so many new friendships and ways of seeing and enjoying the world.

Like watching your clips (from australia) for the beautiful and varied back roads and small towns of your part of US. Too much (not just in US…) is spoiled by strip malls and bland tracts of suburbia, great to see it’s not all gone that way.

Thanks for watching! You’re right, sometimes I wonder what forethought went into some of those tracts you describe. Other times, I encounter an old train trestle or decaying building and find myself imagining the same scene from 100 years ago.

Man, you get around. That's a part of Pennsylvania I've seldom traveled. Watching your video stirred feelings to walk out into the garage and get on the Vespa. Another fine video Andy.

Thanks, Steve. After having lived here as a kid, I’d have never guessed that I’d be back in this area riding scooters with friends. Life is funny sometimes.

@@heckadude Life is a strange adventure. At least if you're paying attention. Have you ever wondered if you never started riding a Vespa whether those experiences would have happened? For me, riding opened a door to experience that just would not exist otherwise.

@@ScooterintheSticksyes, Steve. I’m really amazed at the impact that riding has had on my friendships as well as increased familiarity with our beautiful surroundings. It is rare for me to take a ride and not experience feelings of gratitude for these unexpected gifts.

    Ho, you changed your seat?

Ha, yes. My original seat cover is the red one with racing stripes. Since I work on campus, it felt wrong to be sporting red during Penn State football season, so I usually switch things up in the late summer.
