Very Rusty Axe Restoration. This Trash Became Useful Tool
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Hello folks! Today I want to show you my new axe restoration project. I found this axe at the metal receiving point, among a pile of rusty old parts and iron. I wonder what will happen at the end of the restoration.
The first, I used electrolysis to remove a thick layer of rust from the axe. Then washing and sanding. I checked the hardening of the axe, it seemed strange to me. I have re-hardened and released the axe. After that, I cleaned the surface of the axe with a cord brush. I decided to etch the axe so that rust would not appear on it again.
After that, he began to perform the handle. Rivets used aluminum and also epoxy resin. As usual, make an interesting test for you. I hope this is an axe restoration, you will like it. Thank you all for your attention!
Sincerely, Alex. Thanks for attention!
Good luck and health to everyone! With best wishes, Alex!

I liked the second handle better anyway. The whole axe has an interesting shape and I think the second handle shows it off better, good job.

Super - thank you! ✌🏻🎨☕️
you are very creative👍🏻👍🏻
wow cool complete items
Metal cleaned up better than I expected. Loved the dark wood handle. Seemed to chop very well for such a slender and light hatchet
Another amazing finished product! So glad that you included a full, recessed, exposed tang on that beautiful axe. Very few craftsman are willing to take the time to do that. A real shame that the first one was a bit faulty. Beautiful workmanship. I truly appreciate what you do and enjoy watching you work your magic. Thank you.

Very impressive. Outstanding work.
Thank you another great job, I felt your pain when you discovered the flaw in the handle, I have been there too😂 (last week🤔😟). A weird shape of a hatchet, but it seemed to preform very well. 👏👏👏👍 Take care Sam
Hard, arduous work but the effect is excellent. Best wishes 🥰😘👍
A fun little restoration. Love the color of the handle. Don't let Mrs. S&T know you sullied that shower you just cleaned ;)
feel like this would make an awesome fighting axe.
GREAT JOB
Another amazing restoration.
I know you've said that you want to buy a sandblaster. But I really like electrolysis! It's amazing to watch!
An unusual shaped axe brought back to life with the addition of a wonderful hand crafted handle. Thanks for sharing your skills and your vision.
Good you are using the wrist cord. Have had some near misses using bladed tools in the woods, and have repaired a few weekend warriors who didn’t miss in the ER.
Nice one!! Cheers!!
Nice restoration 👍
....LOOKIN' GOOD ,KEEP SAFE..
hahaha the handle goblins strike again!

This axe has a so interesting, unusual and rare shape that I would have pushed the finish a little bit more. For me it would have deserved a super shiny finish, a hole at the top corner and maybe some indents on the back side, and for sure, like you did in the old days, an inlay drawn by your mother. Burned pictures or signs on the handle would have been a plus too. You still can add all those features from the final piece you presented us. Which is a really good job that I fully appreciate already. I really like your job and your channel.
Sempre um excelente trabalho. 👏👏👏🇧🇷
Fantastic restoration as always. Sorry for the loss of your first handle. The second one came out beautiful. That blade is very sharp. Thanks for sharing. I am enjoying your cooking channel

Oh yes, genius idea for that epic rust removal. Beautifully finished chopper. I think it's unusual form factor is because it may have been a throwing axe in its former life. Good work, sir 👍

Perfect job thanks for showing us it is not always done right on the first try. I also need you to rethink your quenching set up metal bucket and oil good flammable towels not so much. I would rather see you build a small box and fill with sand. It's fireproof and easy oil clean up less likely for you to burn your shop down too. Any ideas for your 100k sub your just a few hundred away from that benchmark. Take care and as. Always keep that content coming.

Nice job! But that axe's edge angle is wrong right? You can injure your hand.
Что вы используете для того чтоб изменить цвет дерева, для топорище ? Краска для волос ?
