Efren has the ability to steal the momentum back with his crazy shots.

The Problem with Jose Parica is his demeanor and attitude. Just the way he talks, you can tell his arrogance and very outspoken. Efren in contrast is just a humble guy, never brags, never say bad things to his opponents-he even praises them. Efren loves to smile and does shots that no pool player can execute in a serious match. He is a gem and an inspiration to all. Thats why he is still the Goat for me, even if you have a thousand major titles, Efren Reyes will always win my heart! 🎉❤

An attitude of narcissistic person is always proud of himself, he always think that he is on the top of others... This kind of personality never accepts his/her mistakes even after knowing that he/she is wrong. Humbleness and boastfulness is not in their vocabulary.

parica is an OG hustler, demeanor and attitude is what you need in a world of gamblers and sharks especially if you're trying to get action. there's a reason why they call him the giant killer and we just witnessed why here. everyone is different. you might call it a problem but a winner is a winner.

I've been a pool player also in Manila. Their names are always been the topic on who is the better pool player . For me, Amang (Jose "Amang" Parica)came first as the best player. But when the prime of Bata (Efren "Bata" Reyes) came. It is Bata now as the top gun of pool. There's nothing wrong if Amang claimed that he has beaten Bata. It is true. But Bata can also claim that he has beaten Amang. There is a saying that "The ball is round and there are six pockets on the pool table. Any player has a chance to win."

I can say that during this time jose parica was the best of the best but when it comes on who's the real goat it's already been decided and that's efren reyes, it's not just because of how of a good entertaining he was in a tournament but also on how he stays in the pool world even with his age he still continued hes great legacy and by showing his skills wherever he plays billiards, he aleady surpassed jose parica with his greatness and humblesness in the world of pool😊👏💪

Amang Parica was the King before Bata enter fhe game.

Parica is a legend no doubt about it. He was taking money from players in the States before Efren showed up. Won his fair share of tournaments and probably considered a better 9 ball player. Perhaps we haven't watched enough Parica matches on TV back in the day to fully comprehend his skill of the game. Maybe Efren looks better on TV with his smile and entertainment value.

You could tell Efren was super nervous this game. He was very tense. That's probably why he lost. When he's tense like that he doesn't play like himself.

They are both Filipinos, two great billiard players.They are both inducted in hall of fame. In 2014, Jose "AMANG" Parica was inducted into the Billiard Congress of America Hall of Fame, at the age of 65. Efren "BATA" Reyes became the first Asian to be inducted into the Billiard Congress of America Hall of Fame in 2003. He was also inducted into the One Pocket Hall of Fame in 2004.

This video is disrespectful to Amang Parica. I've hang out with both Amang and Efren in the 90's and they're both good people. Parica's pride as a pool player is justifiable. I don't think you have any idea how good Amang Parica is. If he thought he was better than Efren, I promise you he is justified in thinking so. Efren had trouble winning tournaments in the mid to late 80's because Parica was in the way. You can make videos about Efren's greatness but to do it at Amang's expense is disrespectful to the OG of Filipino pool culture.

No denying Parica but luck played a part in this match. If these 2 kept playng it would be a lot more even. Also Effren may have sufferred a little nerves but not enough to affect him."Winner Break" is not the best format to prove the best.

Incredible positional play by Jose! He is very proud of his pool game and played extra motivated against Efren to hold up to his reputation. But Efren won more major titles (world championships, US Open, Derby City) and will always be champ of the hearts. Why don't you show their 2007 Derby City Classic One Pocket match?
