I have one and the ep3 steering is the biggest failure honda managed to screw up. Idk what they did to the one in the video to make it handle as good as it is but I sure would like to know.

This pilot can sure drive. Unreal speed and handling. Respect

We need more tuning like this in the U.S.....track oriented tuning

Use to be an EP3 owner.. Nighthawk Black, got it in 2005 from new. Had it for 9 yrs... Then 4yrs ago one faitful evening it was written off when some numpty rear ended me in standstill traffic.... Then had a FN2 CHAMPIONSHIP WHITE for just over 3 and a half yrs and could not wait to get rid of it... In comparison to the EP3, it was a massive step backwards for Honda in terms of how it drove & handled.. EP3- Drive by wire, independent rear suspension, and was light as a feather..👍 FN2- Electronic control throttle, torsion bar, weighted more, and has an accelerator pedal with the bottom part of it stuck to the floor which felt like an automatic car when you tried to give it the beans... I now drive an Astra J VXR fully loaded with every option fitted. If I had to choose between the two, I would definately choose the EP3 hands down.. Much more of a drivers car. But sadly, there aint many good one's left out there.. A high percentage of them has been thrashed to an inch of their life, starved of oil or seen the other side of some hedge....Lol.. I sometimes forget im driving a turbo and find myself in 2nd/ 3rd gear holding out for rev's only to find that the car's telling me to upshift before I fuck up the gear box... Lol.. It can not sustain the high rev's like a K20 engine.. I can truly say from my heart that when you drive a N/A VTEC car its more of a drivers car, than a turbo charge car.... In a turbo you accelerate and the powers there.. With a vtec, to maintain power you got to really stir up the gear box to keep the car in the vtec range which is in the 6000rpm region, which in my opinion makes it much more of a driver's vehicle... Seeing this video makes me now aware of what a beast that car really was, and it wasn't even turbo charged.. But at the time I didn't realize what I was driving, or its capabilities.... Fond memories though.. !!

Mussh Wins i have an ep3 with stock type r suspension except buddyclub coilovers, a proper ride height and stiffness setup can do this

Used to hate Honda's until I bought an ep3 civic.. Most fun car I've owned

I can't take people asking for what exhaust the car uses lol, it's a race car none of those parts are street legal, that's why people refer to honda drives as ricers so embarrassing. I'm an ep3 owner and love it but my god this EP3 is unreal and even better driver! Good work!

+fredrik juhlin 100% sure on this track this thing will beat a gtr! probably a k20a with bolts ons 260hp, on a 1000kg chasis if not less, gtr is 1740kgs. so 3,58 kgs/Hp. this this 3.84kgs/hp and just set up for this track. a gtr is fast in a straight line but no match for this thing in this area to much bodyroll etc.

This EP3 has the closest sound from a EP3 to a Supertouring car. Amazing

I know it's been asked before and no one has given a clear answer, but does anyone know what suspension these EP3's are running at all? I can see some seem to run KW coilovers but here in the UK they're not a common suspension setup for the Civic EP3.

what category of racing do most civic and other tuner cars fall into? im interested in learning how to take my 08 civic si and turn it into a race car but i have no idea where to start or a competition /league/ category etc to shoot for..any tips and btw,,,i know about .12%of car knowledge sooo...im behind the learning curve here

Fast always looks slow. He brushed those white lines so precisely, a handsbreadth from the guardrail, never touching, very little wheelspin, the lines almost perfect every time. No. Not a tailsliding, tiresmoking nimwitpleaser, slow driver. Nice little car and great driver.

I will be the first to admit that there are many people who have ruined Hondas reputation but that doesn't mean they can't be built as great race cars if done right..

Can't be that fast. The camera man is always a step ahead of it.....

Head/tail light tint, meant for off-road use only but in some places they are legal to use on streets, VHT nightshade is the name.

+martin drmaz so "fast" you had to speed up your thought process to think of an excuse to make yourself feel better :)) poor martin drmaz... Sucks to admit to the fact that honda's are beastly fast. Whether it be drag racing, roll racing, uphill climbs or for track use :))
