Started my 09 250 ninja yesterday morning and bulb blew within 5 seconds. I rode to work and back with my bright on. Glad to see this video and see how to change it. Thanks a lot awesome video.

Good video, just wanted to add, for those who want to change the park light bulb. All you need to do is to locate the wire that goes to the park bulb with your fingers, follow the wire to the rubber socket holding the park bulb in place, then just use force and pull it out and it will eventually pop out. Removing the bulb from the rubber socket is the same procedure, just pull the bulb out from the socket.

Hey, I wanted to thank you for this video. Like many others, i was convinced the front fairing had to be removed. It took me about 10 minutes to swap the bulb with this video, just had to feel around a bit.

Just replaced mine after following your video. Less than 5 min. Do not know how you managed to take this video, but it is awesome.

Great video, replaced mine in literally 3 minutes. P.S. If any one has an iPhone 4, put it in video camera mode, turn on the light, and use that to see what you're doing!

Thanks! You saved me about three hours taking apart the fairings and such. With a mirror, I was able to do the job pretty easily. One things that is missing in this video is the part where you take off the black piece that is connected to the old bulb and connect it to the new bulb. Kawasaki sells their bulbs for $35, but I got my OEM bulb at a Honda-Yamaa dealer for $12. I've seen them at Sears for $2.50 with 500 hour life. Thanks again for this video.

Im a noob and it was my first attempt to fix something on a bike on my own and that missing part of the video costed me an hour of struggling to remove the new bulb that i stuck into the headlight area because the video didnt show the need to remove the black thing

Thanks a bunch mate! Took like 15/20 mins. Clipping in the bulb adapter in place was a bit of challenge as it had to be done only by feeling it with your fingers. Thanks again!

Thank you so much. Only thing I might add is to make sure when you pull the old light out, pull off the black connector at the base of the lightbulb because you need that when you put the new one in :) But this really did save me a ton of time and effort. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

headlight been out this whole year on my 08 ninja 250r and just replaced it with a spare bulb from my 03 celica gt! now its a nice bright white light output worked perfectly following this video ty brother

Thanks mate. Pretty simple bike when fixing bits and pieces. The best bike in its class, IMHO. My 2010 Ninja is about to make way for either a Kawasaki Versys or BMW F650GS (head says Kwaka, heart says Beemer).

Thanks man - I looked at my wife's bike, sighed and spent 20 minutes starting to pull the front faring off. Got frustrated, found this video, sighed again, spent 20 minutes screwing everything back together and 2 minutes to replace the globe. Lesson learnt!

I could tell just by looking (the fairings did not have to be removed) Glad i found your 5 in fi and didn't listen to the other guys who broke doen their whole bike just to change a bulb :)

Very easy, thanks :) Globes were about R31 from the local shop ~$3.50 US. With the wiggling of the rubber it took about 10 minutes total.

I have used this video twice in the 5 months I've had my bike. First with just a white bulb and then another type I thought I would try but thanks for the info!! Def not an easy job first or second time but when I did the high beam, the second one I did tonight, I started catching on haha

Used this guide to fix my ZZR250 '98 Model. Different lightbulb you need a H4 12V for my '98 but same process. Thanks heaps! :D
