Today we're hanging out with Josh, one of Ground Control's co-founders. Ground Control makes one of the most unique commercial coffee brewers that has incredible functionality from amazing batch brew all the way to iced latte concentrates. Their team is awesome and I always enjoy visiting their factory in Oakland, California. We'll be coming back to film a video on the new brewer so feel free to ask any question!
This video was filmed with the new DJI Osmo Pocket 3.

Great insights! An additional video explaining the layers would be very interesting.

Really cool to have the CTo there to represent the tech, talk about the chemistry, provide his input. Shame you really dominated and didn’t let him talk though :(

We have a way more comprehensive vid on how it all works coming out at a later date! This one is meant to be more fun/casual without all the crazy nerd stuff 😅

I'd love to see an extended discussion on formulating recipes on the Ground Control. How can someone get the absolute most out of this machine?

Why can you brew twice with this where you couldn't with a pourover? Curious. There is a vacuum but the end result is a dry bed of coffee you brew again. Is it that the vacuum makes the dwell time low enough to keep some solids in the coffee? Brian we love you but let your guest talk more please :)

Can you do a similar drying brew with cuptimo?

We have a ground control in our shop. I still like the curtis brewer but the ground control does add a little flavor. I still dont know if it was worth the investment but it does make a good flash coldbrew

I talked to a few people who’ve got them in their shops and consensus is for drip it’s not worth the price tag. Better if you can take advantage of the cold brew and concentrates. $10k for a brewer is crazy just for batch brew

You gotta use the GC to make latte concentrate and all of that! I think the GC shines by enhancing the products/drinks/services a shop can offer to customers either in quality of beverage or efficiency of service. A shop near me, Nirvana Soul, makes espresso concentrate and uses that to serve all of their events! They save hours of time and labor of pulling shots that would then be dumped in milk anyway

What'd you think of that Inza Pink? I thought it was delicious and very well structured. Seemes to hold up after the usual Pink B flavor fade time of a couple weeks.

Incredibly well structured acidity with massive sweetness (almost stevia like) I've really enjoyed this coffee.

@@BrianQuan it's a good one. I've been using your SeyHack brew method and have had good success on a variety of Sey coffees.
