Very cheep USB MIDI interface. Is it any good?

I bought a cheep unbranded USB MIDI interface off ebay. Is it any good? Will it do the job?

I've purchased a wireless MIDI dongle from Lekato that appears as USB Audio in Windows device manager. It works great, on that one the MIDI OUT connector goes to the output of my MIDI source. The other dongles follow the opposite convention of MIDI OUT to MIDI IN.

Some Consumer advice when purchasing anything electronical, if the price is dirt cheap chances are the product itself is also dirt cheap. So just purchase and high quality cable, for example if your instrument is made by Roland, Yamaha, or Casio or whatever brand name it is just purchase the midi cable made by that same manufacturing company of your instrument. You'll have to spend some money but it's guaranteed to work and it will last you a long time. ITS WORTH IT, So it will be money well spent.

Absolutely. If you look at the "Chinese Junk" video I did shortly after this one, I tore it apart and found it didn't even meet the MIDI spec as it had no opto isolator on the input. You'll be pleased to hear I replaced it with one from M-AUDIO.

Midi converters of higher quality are rarer and rather expensive in my country so I got this one last year but I started to use it about a month ago. It works both on windows and android. Works better on Android with minimal latency. On windows the latency is very noticeable. I would guess it is a driver issue or something

of the two I had, one I recently ordered was the newer one, didn't work at all, the older style one (with a treble clef logo on it) fared better, but still didnt recognise my MIDI Keyboard at all. you're better off buying a UR22 or something that has MIDI / Audio with proper drivers. the problem is in the circuit/embedded software, which is poorly designed.

@@TripplikitElectronics the newer ones on Amazon are MIDI Class Compliant.. FORE MIDI USB cables the ones with the red led and blue to indicate MIDI data being sent.
