    Took my hard to use 'new braunfels vertical square smoker', to a shop and in about a hour the gentleman fix all of it's issues.

    Kory W i built it using1/8th plate. Buy the time i got a response from Allen my fire box should have been 3/16s. But it works fine just had to tighten the door up with some angle iron.

    Antonio Carter. Yes i did finish the smoker and it works great! Been using it since August. I have a video on my KZread page Nscalegary1 and i have a Facebook page where i started Stephanie's Smokehouse BBQ look me up. I love my cooker so much im thinking about doing another one but this one is going to be a barrel style using 24in tubing 1/4in thick. But before i do i'm going to build a trailer around this one. It weighs about 700lbs.

    Dude, great video, I'm subscribing. I know it's hot where you're at but you gotta protect your skin when welding, a long sleeve t-shirt and a fan would help. That being said I doubt that I could get away from the a/c if I was there!

    Lower the fire box and chopped the lid on the fire box as well. Then he built a lipped defuser/restrictor for the inside, which deverts the heat from rushing out the vent. My idea.

    Have you ever tried to make a box smoker like this by bending the sheet metal into shape? Im not a metal worker but it seems like it would take less time what with less welds and cutting metal. I might be wrong but im curious about it.

    Hello Allen, I have watched all your videos and I think that saying you are good is an insult to your skills. God gave you about a steady hands as a surgeon. Have you ever thought about building a steel fishing boat for your family of light gauge, god knows you have the skills for it and that might lead to more work as well.     Hey Allen the doors u measure inside how much space u leave gap so door won't have problems opening and closing and are u Gunn a show how it's done cuz I had a customer want one but they wanted door to go around like an angle iron go around it not flat

    Your skills are very obvious. I laugh when I watch other videos and see more grinding than welding. A good welder doesn't need a grinder.
