    Hello Bret, Thank You for sharing an informative video. I am self taught guitarist and learn a lot from you. I have a question slightly off the topic talked in this video. I recently for a fender Mexican player strat Maple with SSS Config. This is the first time I am experiencing a fender instrument. I am quite delighted to have it and ordered it online from a well-reputed site. I have a quick query. I am a bit concerned about the instrument I got and here is my observation regarding its Volume management. I feel that it sounds low on volume. At volume, 1-3 it's barely audible, 4-5 a little audible between 6-7 it's satisfactory and at 9-10 it gives a considerable output. I am connecting my guitar with amp directly. My amp is Marshall 15CD Series 45 Watts. If I plug my old strat Aria STG series at 3-4 it gives the output what Fender gives at 8-10. The bottom line is if i have to play for practice it has to be between 6-7 minimum or 8-10 while playing along with backing tracks. I wanted to know this is the nature of a fender product/pickups or something else is wrong with my new guitar. I would appreciate if you can please advise.

    That pink Strat tho. Ok, two things: +1 for the Journey t-shirt. And, secondly, can you share what microphone you’re using in the room to record your videos? Thanks, Brett. Great video!

    Haha, thanks! Shirt is from Lucky Brand, and I've always loved shell pink strats! I'm Using a Md409 about 2 feet from me to record everything. Been my step up for years.

    Nice, first I've gotten to hear of the new limited edition model one with the Thin/Fat mod. Only wish you had the original/standard model to compare with. I was told by someone at Vertex the new Green one with the Thin/Fat mod has a Rat tone stack. I think the original had more of a Big Muff style tone stack. Wish I could hear how they differed.

    Hi Brett....only recently subscribed, so not fully up to speed. Great content man, very accessible. Have you modded the wiring on the strat, noticed the pot is missing? I'm guessing you added the humbucker?

    Thanks for the sub! Yep, only the volume pot works and the hum bucker was an add on.

    Is this the limited edition fat/thin pedal or just a normal one but surfgreen? See it doesn't have the middleknob as the limited one but the colour as one. Awesome playing and review!

    First timer. Like the demo. Feedback for ya. Hard to really hear the tones. Probably could use a 2 mic setup for recording. One for you talking and one on the speaker or DI for the tones. Then can swap mics between talking and tones. Still, love the dynamics on that pedal.

    I thought the whole point of coughing up $3-4K for a Friedman was so you never needed anything else for distorted tones. For an inexpensive tube amp, I could see paying a few hundred for a stomp box. But for a Friedman?

  • @BrettPapa

    @BrettPapa

    5 жыл бұрын

    Depends what you want to do. Dynamic is kind of a fuzz which no amp really does well. Friedman is an amp you can definitely just plug in and go though.
