We run both a tire equiped 550 & tracked 550 versatile . For your information all large frame versatile tractors come with 15 L cummins powerplants . In north america there is not a better choice for after sales support . The high flow hydraulic option with twin pumps will never let you down. Tractor electronics are adequate and steer ready tractors can connect to ALL gps systems without an expensive unlock like JD. ANOTHER point of interest is full power is available from gear 1 thru 16, unlike case IH. SO from a guy that has 8000+ hrs running a 24 yard pull scraper and tile plows these units are built to handle heavy duty work. In parting for all you green paint guys why would someone pay 20% more for a tractor with the same cummins engines and a less efficient drive train. Have a nice day

They are just exaggerating we had a JD and a versatile on demo and the JD was much more reliable and well built, also the cab was a lot better on the Deere.

@@Louis-B-53 for my family’s operation we have a few New Holland T9’s, 2 Delta tracks and an RX all pulling Bourgault air carts and drills and the reliability issues last year for the Delta tracks is awful. Now that being said I’m sure it works for some people but not for us.

I own 12 tractors and forklifts. I never owned a John Deere. I am 62 years old. I have made all the purchase decisions on the farm since I was age 19. I have had Deere's on demo. I personally always picked something else. The Versatile does not look that hot either. Get what is going to work for you!

Back when 4 wheel drive first got popular versatile was a plain power supply with not too many fancy options straight shift transmission easy to work on but they fell behind in hydraulic requirement for modern air seeders and corn planters. Now they have a very competitive system to supply the demand and largest cab size and easiest riding cab on the market. Kudos to a great tractor. Need to get into the competition now on power as they are behind in the 600plus power ratings to compete with Case Stieger John Deere and Class which has the current too rating in high horse power.

I´m a Joh Deere fan, i have John Deere tractors, but i think is Versatile is the only brand makes tractors with the old school principes, and industrial equipment components. Tha frame and hod are the old John Deere 9020/30 series parts. The engine is the same. Transmision is Caterpillar planetary transmission, Funk trannsmision is very good transmission, but Cat i think is better. I would put highest traks but with outboard planetary drive is difficult . Great tractor.

The John Deere 9620 uses a Cummins. The 9370 uses a Deere 9 litter. The 9420 - 9570 uses a Deere 13 litter

Great tractor have two older models a 9282 and a 846 both still run and pull flawlessly. There also better cause their built up here in Canada. I know a big John Deere farmer that has 3 Versatile delta tracks that pull Morris air seeders which are also the best, and grain carts in the fall. That farmer lovers the Versatile’s over any John Deere, but still has John Deere sprayers and combines.

The ta 22 is that a 22 speed power shift transmission

The fendt 1050 isn't big enough to compete really but it is the smoothest and quietest. If you want to compare fendt to the competition then you'd want the fendt 1167.

you didn't even advertise Versatile ... it's not normal to use an advertisement comparing other brands which, unfortunately for you, are much better and more popular!

So the pull point on versatile is better. Yet u claim its better because it requires less balast. So why is versatile 6k lbs heavier? Shouldn't it pull the same implement with less weight? Say 6k LESS than the deere? Which would mean it needs a diet of 12k lbs,good luck with that.

John deere light weight built for profit for a board of directors. If you really want to laugh how cheap a deere is built look at comparison on wheeled machines between 900 series challenger.

When the light weight is from having smaller axles, lighter pivot area and lighter transmission it's hard to add that weight in.

When I worked at John Deere when we'd see a four-wheel drive get pulled in half or break an axle we would try to blame it on the driver. Now that I'm no longer with John Deere it's easy for me to look from the outside in and see that the competition is clearly Better Built.

There is no comparison between the two tractors. Deere tractors are 2 fwa tractors melded together, a Versatile is built specifically out of components to be a 4wd
