While the rest of the band did great, (you can tell they are all a bit nervous, cuz they probably never played in front of a big audience like that before, so they did good despite that) I think Yuki's drums were freakin perfect, that guy is a freaking machine. nobody gives that guy love cuz he's always in the back, but i think he kicks ass!!

I agree that drummers don't get enough love! I think the same for Tsukasa, formerly of D'espairsray. I think Kamijo was especially nervous because this song is all in English... :)

14 years later and i still get goosebumps listening to this song and video just like when i first saw this as a teenager. It's one of those bands that stuck with me throughout the years in good and in bad times and i am glad that they still make music, sure Versailles is on and off hiatus, but all the other projects the members are involved are also a joy to listen to.

What a weird sort of nostalgia I get watching this.2008 was such a long time ago,and the band looks so young here in a sense.R.i.p Jasmine You,and we await your return Versailles

note that this was their first live performance as Versailles

I thought they had performed in the states in 2007? I could be wrong. Perhaps this is the first performance as Versailles in Japan.

I have made both of Jamine and Hide’s altar, but I like to make Jasmine You’s altar in my bedroom and preying for both of them

Kamijo was still singing with his older style here omg! But here and there in the performance he started incorporating some of his lower operatic notes he started doing in Lyrical Sympathy (in the Revenant Choir single it's still his Lareine voice). Maybe he was still in the middle of his voice training cause you can feel the two voices are separated, and then they merged to form his current voice

you all do realise this was the hide memorial summit right? as much as I love Versailles they are so tiny compared to some of the bands that played later on, the crowd was either conserving energy or just wanted to see some of the other bigger acts.

I have seen clips of commercials of them playing at a few small clubs several months before Lyrical Sympathy came out. they showed them playing the revenant choir and each member doing a little solo act. I also think they played at a convention or two as well, but regardless this is still the first time they played in front of a substantial crowd, but like i said i think they did good regardless

That was so cuuuuute!!!! I wish i was THERE!! Yuki was so happy on the drums. Like when he smiled at the end like woohoo!! and Hizaki skipping at the beginning. Jasmine bravely going up in front of Teru for a short bit there. And Kamijo being one of the sexiest human beings alive next to Mana. I want toy dolls of all of them. Of course the real thing would be better...

@symphony7724 they can't be compared to dragonforce coz they are a lot better... if only the vocals could pronounce english phrases better they will bang dragonforce outsinde the fucking stage dude.... not to mention hizaki and teru are also lot better than herman li and sam totman... oops...btw... i think the name versailles is better than the name dragonforce which is like a shit that got from video games... sorry dragonforce fans.. i really dont dislike them i just dont like them : )
