I am French and I spent several months in Verona in the family of my pen pal who came in exchange to my place in France (the city of Saint-Étienne and a village near Le-Puy-en-Velay). We spent entire days visiting Verona and went to other cities like Ferrara, Padova, Modena... I discovered then that even in big cities like Verona the Italians still used local dialects. But everybody knew official italian too, so I had no difficulty exchanging with the persons I met. My parents were invited too by this family and my friend's parents spent some days with my family in France. It was marvelous and I think French and Italians have a lot in common. I like Italy and I keep reading italian novels in italian in order not to forget it.

"Enchanting" is the word I'd use to describe Verona's unique beauty. It truly is like no other Italian city. Che bella!

Oh Milos, You're in the city of Romeo and Juliet 💖 I absolute love this city and not least, her people! This is where - in my mind - the real Italy begin and, - I can spend days, just sitting in one of the many cafe's along the river...just being alive, watching people come and go...just following the stream of the river, dreaming or, strolling through the city, enjoying all the art, food, wine and History....not difficult to imagine, living there, like Shakespeare probably did, when he imagined Romeo and Juliet.....you just made me want to re-visit this Italian jewel 💕💓💕 Thanks millions for sharing!!!

I spent my early teens here in the early '60's and I only wish my parents took us to see more of the city than we did. Still, fond memories!

Very beautiful old world city! And Churches are nice, though I've only been in a few for marriages, but those Cathedrals are on a whole other level of beautiful! Thank you so much.

Italy is so grand, so ancient full of history, home of the roman empire! It's on my bucket list.

Shakespeare introduced me to Verona. Miosh showed me the Historical Place in splendid detail. Thank you Master.

In the realm of literature, Verona is famous for two reasons, the first being the setting of William Shakespeare's play, 'Romeo and Juliet,' and the second for being the birthplace of who's arguably the greatest pre-Imperial period Roman poets, the awesome Catullus. Incidentally, these two seemingly disparate things are connected in that they both revolve around love and it's easy to see how Verona has become a sort of romantic destination for generations of lovers and couples. Awesome video. This is definitely one of the cities I plan on visiting when I finally get to Italy.

Зубцы не мавританские и тем более не веронские. В Италии они считались знаком принадлежности к гибеллинам - сторонникам императора, в отличие от прямоугольных (папских).
