We start our evening walk downtown Burlington, and then head down main street to the waterfront and boardwalk. Our walk ends at the Moran Frame.
The Burlington Waterfront is a natural draw for visitors and residents alike. In the 1980s, then-mayor Bernie Sanders initiated the development of Waterfront Park. Check out the bike path, walk the boardwalk, visit ECHO Center or just sit back and take in a Champlain sunset.
What is the Moran Frame?
Born from the remnants of a former coal-fired power plant on the shores of Lake Champlain, The FRAME, or the Moran Frame, consists of an open-air park surrounding the historic structure of the Moran Plant, painted a striking red.

Wow! It’s great to see the Echo Museum, 11:30! Twenty years ago I went there with my family and my granddaughter took a test that showed how smart she is, and she has just graduated from college with a degree in engineering. One of the things we saw was a screening of our faces when we will look old. So now that I am 86, I wish I had taken a picture of what it showed. Or, better that I could go back and see what I will look like when I am 106. Thank you for evoking so many memories!
