Thank god, a Vermintide build that's not 2 years old. I was considering trying out handmaiden, since shade gets breathed on and dies because she's so dang squishy. Great video man, very informative👍🏻

Wraith-walk is FAR from useless. You can really save your life or an entire run with this ability when the minion density is high. It also allows you to dash into/through a horde to assassinate a special without being blocked by the ennemies' bodies and dodge your way out. This is more aimed to a support build than a DPS build that you are more leaning toward. You really have to try it ingame to understand how good it is.

Yea. Sadly this video is pretty old for me and I find myself using wraith-walk all the time now. It's actually amazing.

Handmaiden is a team by herself. And it is the strongest team.

power vs X doesnt matter in a vacuum. the entire point is to see if you hit a new breakpoint. to keep it simple assume you deal 100 damage per hit against a chaos berserker and the berserker has 200 health. with 0% increased damage you kill it in 2 hits (100+100=200). with 10% increased damage you still kill it in two hits, because the first does 110 which leaves them with 90 and now you overkill them but that doesnt matter. damage on its own really is not something that matters at all, only breakpoints matter.

I use decanter with Purple so that I have a very long duration of spamming my ult for great movement. With the final talent to turn invisible for 2 seconds it really helps with dealing with lots of pressure.

Pretty good video but could easily be half as long. I'd love to see you do a series of these type videos for all characters in 5 minutes each. That time could and should go up if you included some footage of examples but without that 5 minutes is more than enough. Thanks dude!

underrated ? She has been a staple on any high weave group since 4 ever. Even outside of weaves any players with a brain knows how good she is. Besides of this I like your guides no matter what. Always good stuff to see here and very well explained. App. your work for V2 !

Yea this video isn't my favorite. I would change a fair amount on here actually, but hey it was one of the first ones I ever made. A more updated handmaiden build can be seen in my balanced team strategies video. I think I said she was underrated because more people tend to gravitate to waystalker or shade initially, but for me its ancient history so I can't be sure.

The spear is fun for sure. You hit the nail on the head though. The big drawback is the lack of cleave. The light attacks are very nice, but you have to rely on headshots alot. It's really good with the talent where dodging gives more attack speed. Glaive however can eat any number of baddies and still does massive damage on the charge attacks at the cost of a bit of attack speed. I don't think its too slow though. Sword and dagger is also pretty nice with maiden as well.

So I'm just starting to back into Vermintide 2 and wanted to level a Handmaiden, (I got Ranger vet to 30 and Unchained to 30, didn't even touch anyone else) and the only dlc I have is back to ubersreik. Is the elven axe from that DLC better than glaive, or should I just stick to glaive?

They're pretty close. Both are good weapons. The axe might take some getting used to if you've never messed around with it. For me I think the axe edges out the glaive on handmaiden when you have willow stance on. I'd say give it a try for like 3 maps and if by the 3rd run you still don't like it then probably stick to the glaive.

@@WhoStoleMyNachos Spear can be used, but be warned that is a high skill weapon because you really rely on headshots for armored enemies. It's fun for unarmored though.

I have eternal blossom. And some extra revive speed. I have under a half secod revive and hella fast attack speed with blade dancer

This makes me want to try this out! Only have played the waystalker and shade, mostly longbow and sword and dagger. Is the shield and spear any good? Probably not enough cleave or damage?

Shield and spear is actually not bad. Charge attacks can push hordes around and kill elites. Only thing I don't like about it is that you can't shield bash like with bardin or kruber. Other than that definitely try it out. In my opinion handmaiden is the best elf to have on a team for her stamina regen. That becomes so useful in panic mode. Sword and dagger is really good with her too.

Funniest intro ever...

Smiter is not as good as it sounds on paper. Say you cleave 3 bad guys, only the 1st one hit gets smited, the outher 2 dont get staggered or any dmg mod agenst them.

By the way, if your elite enemy does not get staggered, Mainstay deals normal damage every time. It adds stagger only if enemy is already staggered. So you risk damage against bosses to 100/100/100... against 120/120/120... in case you can not add stagger count
