Thank you
Good to see you back, Ben! Totally awesome machine.
I had the 30 for almost 4 years. Just upgraded to the 382. World of difference. Little longer same width but the HP increase makes my 2 hour stumps now 30 min. 30 does get into more spots and isnt as expensive. Happy grinding!!!
Hey Ben, You came acrossed my mind. I miss your sawmill videos. They were cool. I hope all is well.
I just rented one of these at Yukon Equipment up here in Alaska and it works great! $400.00 for the entire weekend and I knocked out a bunch of stumps.
Thanks for the video. Greetings from U.K.! Very useful

What oil and filter are you supposed to use for this machine
Stump grinder work is tiring with the wrong machine. Hope you are still running the sawmill. Plenty of food for the mill by running a tree seevice.

Still run the mill on occasion, and yeah I have a manual stump grinder and it beats me up.
awesome video, if you dont mind me asking how much do you charge for a stump this size? Thanks!

About 4 dollars per inch on average. Measured across the diameter.
How many minutes to get this done?
how long did this entire process take?

Hey I’m trying to start my own stump grinding business, I’m only 16 I just don’t know what stump grinder used would be good

I would recommend a vermeer 252 to start. Going to be the cheap mid sized grinder to start with.
How much did you charge the customer for that job?

Every job is different, it all depends on a lot of variables. A stump like this I had easy access to it I charge around 200. Give or take.

@@Benssawmill Oh man I was just gave a $1500 estimate for mine with a big mound which Is why I started thinking about renting the machine

@@robl496 get some other estimates, different contractors have less overhead and can give you a better deal.
About how long did that take to finish?

Roughly 4 hours, dug out all the excess chips and hauled them away. I went extra deep.

Have a Rayco 1672 dxh, for 30 yrs now. Fast, powerful machine. Had to rent this same Vermeer today. If I owned a Vermeer, first thing I would do, is cut off the front handlebar over the wheel.
Have you started a tree service business.

@@Benssawmill congrats. How's it going now. I was looking at renting one of these machines for three smaller stumps, probably 5-10mins each and found this video. Have a blessed day.

@@brettblack7049 the machine runs great, on the large stumps it is a little under powered. But the really large grinders throw rocks and make a huge mess. I would recommend this to anyone looking to remove a stump with buildings or road ways near by. Still need to be aware of rocks but its not as bad. Hope this helps.
Been…. Where ya Ben? 😂
