Tja das ist, auf Fläche und Einwohner des Staates VATIKAN berechnet, die wohl materiell und personell am besten ausgestatte Garde dieser Welt. Ich vermute es ist nicht ohne Grund eine besondere Ehre in dieser Garde dienen zu dürfen. Ich verneige mich mit großem Respekt!

C'est impressionnant de se remémorer que tous les fantassins des armées d'Europe étaient équipés de cette façon. Pendant des années voir des siècles des français, des espagnols, des anglais, des prussiens, des polonais, des suédois..etc se sont "joyeusement" étripés les uns les autres dans cette tenue.

Man muss Schweizer sein, den Militärdienst in der Schweiz absolviert haben, man muss natürlich auch katholisch sein. Es werden nur Schweizer in die Schweizergarde aufgenommen, die auch wirklich streng katholisch sind.

Der Vatikan hatte früher eine Einheit namens Pfälzische Garde, die 1970 von einem Papst wegen einiger Reformen der Kirche aufgelöst wurde, glaube ich, aber man musste Italiener sein, um sich dieser anzuschließen, man konnte Italiener sein und ihr beitreten. Sie trugen eine blaue Uniform im preußischen Stil mit französischem Kepi und das Carcano-Gewehr Modell 1891.

The Swiss Guard in their function as bodyguards are equipped with the SIG Sauer P220 pistol and the SIG SG 550 rifle (or its SG 552 variant) also in use by the Swiss Army. As recruits to the Swiss Guard must have undergone basic military training in Switzerland, they are already familiar with these weapons when they begin their service. Jeder von denen hat eine Baretta bei sich das sind keine Zinnsoldaten und mit der Helebarde können die auch umgehen nur in wiefern der Brustpanzer Kugeln abfängt is fraglich aber sicher besser als ohne

Why is the money wasted on them it's tradition they already got rid of two other units they had in the 1970s there was one unit that carried rifles and dressed in blue Prussian style uniforms and there was a Cavalry unit not wore red jackets with white pants and black boots

Noch nicht! Bald wird es auch Muslime geben. Ebenso Frauen und Homosexuelle. Das ist ein Teil der "Modernisierung" der "Kirche".

noch.... es ist nur eine Sache der Zeit und dann kommen die übliche Zerstöter mit ihren "Quoten" und verwandeln auch noch das in einer Zirkus-Atraktion , wie z.B. die Bundesregierung, wo alles Vertreten ist, was ein Gebrechen (körperlich oder Geistig) vorzuweisen kann aber nur nicht so was wie Qualifikation , Professionalität oder Können für ein Amt.
Typisch Schweizer, arbeiten für jeden Hauptsache die Bezahlung stimmt.
