Verdansk had 488,000 active daily players at its peak with mw19/warzone verdansk and over 100 million downloaded players after 1 year. They haven’t had that many players since. That says a lot about what people like, movement, guns and maps. Warzone 2 has about 70,000 active players. It has nothing to do with the pandemic as Fortnite is still doing 230 million players today. Bring back Verdansk with the mw19 movement and allow players to use guns from any cod up till mw19 and watch the player base come back to life and devs will see the money flow again. Verdansk made $5M per day back then. And now with only 70k active players, they won’t even make half of that.

i uninstalled CoD altogether last night. I have played since the original MW. enough is enough. moving on to HLL and Insurgency CoD is now a Fortnite/Apex hybrid. yuck

@da-ms it's why they need to get rid of the old gen already. It would run better and would be able to be built with newer specs and save storage. It's honestly why I think the new map got pushed until end of 2025. I think blops 6 will be last of anything cross gen

Yes, we have to deal with assisted legal aimboters (controller players) now we will also deal with assisted legal aimboters with botmovements, controller players will only need to press start, his bot will do all the work for them... shame....

Couldn’t agree more with this video. We need a big map rotation with Al Mazrah. They recently just bumped the player count to 120 and i cant tell a difference at all. The pacing on Urzikstan is mind numbingly boring most of the matches. They need way more players on the big maps. And what if they dont have 150 players on Verdansk? That would be a huge let down also. Seems like warzone has been going backwards with features.

Personally I think bringing verdansk back first is a great idea considering how much people have been asking for it BUT I think it should be brought back back December 2024 and bring the brand new map in February 2025. That way it’s not much of a wait to play the new map as well as people are gonna get what they’ve been asking for.

I gotta say I only started playing again because they re added Fortunes keep and then later Rebirth Island as I played it a ton back on WZ1. Its still not the same as it was but I was able to have some fun. Verdansk won't bring me back to playing as much as I was before. Nostalgia hits hard but we need to let verdansk go.

100% agree. Its a disjointed progression. The hype of Verdansk also wont hold me for more than 2-3 months. It also wont play the way it used to. We aren't all barricaded behind the "safety" of our front doors, with few other interesting options. Times have changed, and they seem to be hedging their bets based on 3-4 year old market research.

All people really want is game that actually works, and when it works,not to be a sweaty shitbox full of Try Hards

Warzone should change its name to Copy n Paste. Think they want to make maximum money in the store with minimum staff working on it 😂 probably takes less resources to revamp a map that's already been designed already then the resources it takes to design a new one. Yes I love playing Fortunes and Rebirth but I would prefer a brand new map over a revamped old one any day. And Urzikstan hardly being changed is frustrating as I play more BR Than Resurgence. In all honesty I am waiting for a new game to move too.

Urzikstan is so boring, it doesnt makes fun to play on this map.. i can not play this map a year longer.. if they add Verdansk so late and doesnt bring a new big map with BO6, so much players will leave Warzone and maybe never come back..

Call of Duty should have new BR Modes and Resurgence Mode.. BR should be team of 5 cinco and have every BR Map all in a rotation.. And Quads for Trios for every Resurgence map made in rotation.. Then create brand new maps for Duos and Solos and have rotation for that.

They can't release a good game because they won't have anyone playing another iterations without deleting the map completely.

Sadly it isn’t 2020 anymore. Even verdansk coming back won’t bring me back.

I hate the idea that they need to bring back old content because it will only make people happy for like 2 weeks. (thats what happened to rebirth island and now rebirth island personally is my least favorite map rn)

This is bound to fail from the beginning. Do you all remember how successful Verdansk was? It was incredibly addictive-I used to wake up at 4 or 5 am just to play solos or with my teammates. The engine was fantastic, with awesome mechanics and gameplay! Now, we have a really bad engine, and the game just doesn't hit the same as Verdansk. It's nowhere near as addictive, and that's why they're going to see all-time low numbers in player base pretty soon.

yeah, but with new gameplay, not interesting after a few rounds. I liked Verdansk together with the gameplay style it had in the first year. Everything after that was abysmal: childish skins, crazy movement, footsteps sounds gone and more.

I'm not giving them another penny, until they solve the cheater problem.

This whole time i've been hoping to get the feeling of WZ1 back. It's not the map, the game was just fun to play even with all its flaws. I haven't loved a game like that since the original MW2. Sadly i don't think that will ever happened. The game is so far from what the original Warzone was. I think they need to make a brand new standalone Warzone game with rotating big maps, take out the cheesy rubbish and invest in a better servers

You can also play Verdansk right now on your phone, with a controller. If you have a high end phone, you can even stream this to a monitor or TV and it's no different than console/pc
