FACTS

I've experienced a similar situation. Lashing out during a disagreement followed by the double down post apology. The double down only confirmed that they were someone who would lash out when they couldn't control a situation, would be disrespectful when frustrated, was not sincere when they apologized, couldn't control their emotions and someone who wasn't a safe place for me.

Tony is ranting today! I’m here for it. People be trash. Lol.

Sad to see you leave daddy issues, but the show must go on, and the guys are all hilarious, so I'll definitely be watching every Thursday still.

That big bottle of prep is sending me. 😂😂😂 I could barely take down the two small bottles of prep they gave me when I got my colonoscopy last year. LET ALONE leave the house. I don't see how Tony is doing it. BUT I THANK GOD I DID because they found one polyp they removed and when they tested it pre cancerous cells were found...SO EVERYONE PLEASE GO CHECKED IF YOUR DOCTOR RECOMMENDS IT!!

It’s about emotional intelligence. You learn in therapy that you need to learn to self regulate during arguments. This means, when it starts to get venomous and/or your emotions are taking over your responses, you should stop the conversation, announce that you need time to reset, and the other must respect that. The partner should be able to do the same and, if neither are mature enough to do so for themselves, the other partner should call a timeout for them based on cues. Also, in the same way stepping away from a disagreement should be a respected boundary, the person who needs the break has to offer respect to the waiting party by agreeing on a cutoff date/time for the subject to be resumed. I can’t tell you I can’t talk about this anymore and leave when we’ll revisit open ended. It has to be readdressed in an acceptable timeframe.

Thank you for not sugar coating or being fake. Folks would rather be passive aggressive and think some can’t pick up on it. Some of appreciate the truth, even if it hurts.

#Salute 26:18 I'm the type of person who will make time to have whatever conversation needs to be had. Yes I have had times where I needed to take a break too & I've verbalized to that person & gave a resonable timeframe. Like I would take a walk and come back or it was really heavy maybe lets sleep on it and get back to it tomorrow. I haven't had that same care though. The other person rarely ever comes back to start the conversation back or try to come to an understanding & if I wait on them to come back to the conversation when they say they need a break it will never happen. That is equally frustrating. Makes you feel disrespected and not valued.

All love for Tony from me sincerely, but I would point out that the biggest fans often have the most criticism. I don't mean any disrespectful or hater type stuff, but content creation has definitely showed me that once you lock in with someone and consume their content often you notice the patterns and inconsistencies more, or the areas for improvement. I heard people say this but didn't really understand until I started doing it myself but you have to really care to critique heavy. Just a lot of content creators struggle with deciphering between criticism and hate. I think Tony has great EIQ and SIQ, so not about him necessarily, his mention about hater energy just sparked that thought.
